A mother fearlessly took on a gun-wielding motorcyclist after he attacked the family's vehicle in a shocking incident in Philadelphia.

The shocking moment, which was recorded and posted to Instagram on Sunday by a tourist who witnessed it first-hand, saw a raging motorcyclist stomp through the back window of Nikki Bullock's vehicle while her kids were sat inside, terrified.

According to the video, the unidentified suspect, who was wearing a 'You Ain’t No Killa' t-shirt and helmet, completely shattered the windshield which provoked Bullock to get out of her vehicle and confront him.

Things escalated quickly as it was soon discovered that the man was armed with a gun after it fell from his waistband and upon seeing the brave mother get out of her damaged car, he pointed the weapon straight at her face.

But Bullock was not intimidated and even when the perpetrator head-butted her, she refused to back down.

Have a look at the shocking video below:

Soon enough, he stuffed the gun back down his pants and as he got back on his motorcycle, the victim gave him a shove, knocking hm and his motorbike to the floor.

"The kids were screaming. Like it was insane," Bullock told the local CBS outlet, also adding: "The only thing that protected my kids from not having a bunch of glass from shattering on top of them is that my back windshield was tinted."

The 23-year-old and her girlfriend carried the two children out of the vehicle and made sure they were both okay - and thankfully they were.

In an interview after the incident, it was confirmed that Bullock and the motorcyclist had gotten involved in a heated back-and-forth prior to the altercation.

Bullock said she was first sideswiped by the biker near City Hall as per a report by ABC6.

"So I started arguing out the window. They start arguing back and forth. The other guy got my attention and in the meantime, he jumped off the bike and jumped on the car," Bullock recalled.

Despite "seeing the gun", the young mom stated: "He jumped on the windshield. He already went through the windshield. I might as well get out."

Bullock filed a police report on Sunday night and spoke with a detective the following day. Though she was thankful for the help, she was more thankful that her children remained unharmed.

"They are okay. Not a single scratch," Bullock said. "I have a guardian angel. Thank God."

Now Bullock hopes the police are able to track down the biker.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner called the behavior of the bike rider "completely outrageous."

"Whoever that person is, if that person is caught and I get the chance to charge that person, we will be going very vigorously after that person for that conduct," Krasner said. "This has gotta stop. Anyone who is out there on those ATVs or motorbikes, and anybody who is out there drifting, please know we understand how dangerous this is.

"We know how much you are endangering other people with your conduct and there is a price to pay for that," Krasner added.

We're glad that Bullock, her girlfriend, and her children are all okay.
