As Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's fundraiser for the people of Ukraine continues to reach its goal, photos of the couple enjoying lunch with President Zelensky and his wife have resurfaced.

Last week, Kunis - who was born in 1983 in the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi - announced that she and her husband Ashton Kutcher would be launching a fundraiser to raise money for displaced Ukrainians amid the ongoing Russian invasion.

Describing herself as a "proud Ukrainian", the 38-year-old Family Guy star also announced that the famous couple would be matching up to $3 million in donations, with hopes of raising a total of $30 million.

The online fundraiser was launched on GoFundMe, with Mila explaining that the money raised "will provide an immediate impact on refugee and humanitarian aid efforts. The fund will benefit Flexport.org and Airbnb.org, two organizations who are actively on the ground providing immediate help to those who need it most."

As of this writing, the total amount raised stands at $18,924,700, thanks to more than 54,000 donations.

With news of the couple's generous actions trending, photos have now emerged showing both Kunis and Kutcher enjoying a lunch with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife, Ukraine's first lady Olena.

The images can be seen below:

The photos - which show the two couples deep in conversation - were captured back in 2019, with Olena sharing the pics with her Instagram followers.

Per the Evening Standard, following their meal together, Zelensky said: "Today I met with Ukrainian-born Mila Kunis and actor and producer Ashton Kutcher.

"We had a very fruitful conversation about cinema, in particular about the development of the Ukrainian film industry, as well as ways to attract investment in it."

The Mirror adds how Kutcher, 44, revealed that both President Zelensky and Olena spoke fluent English throughout the lunch, with Mila noting that the Ukrainian leader was a "very interesting, intelligent and dedicated person".

They reportedly discussed politics, technology, gender equality, film, and tourism in Ukraine.

Speaking to the LA Times in 2008 about her parent's decision to leave Ukraine, Kunis said: "It was right at the fall [of the Soviet Union]. It was very communist, and my parents wanted my brother and me to have a future, and so they just dropped everything. They came with $250."

Kunis and Kutcher have partnered with AirBnB and freight transporter Flexport in order to raise funds for Ukrainians fleeing the country. Writing on the fundraiser page, the couple stated: "Flexport.org is organizing shipments of relief supplies to refugee sites in Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova," and "Airbnb.org is providing free, short-term housing to refugees fleeing Ukraine."
