A Skyscraper climber who is known for extreme sports has tragically died after falling off the 68th storey of a Hong Kong residential building.
Remi Lucidi, 30, was at the Tregunter Tower complex when he fell to his death after reportedly getting trapped outside a penthouse, as reported by the South China Morning Post.
According to investigators, the stuntman - known as 'Remi Enigma' on social media - arrived at the building in the evening and told the security guard that he was visiting a friend on the 40th floor.
It is believed that he made his way to the top floor and got trapped outside so he started frantically knocking on all the windows to get back inside the building.
However, Lucidi lost his footing and plunged, dying instantly.
Hong Kong officials have claimed that the building’s security guard tried to cross-examine the dare devil's insistence of visiting a friend but he had already caught an elevator by then.
In addition to this, an insider told the New York Post that Lucidi was last seen banging on a penthouse window on the 68th floor of Tregunter Tower at about 7:30PM - which prompted a startled maid to contact the police.
Metro also reported that CCTV footage showed the man taking the stairs to level 68 but it was locked so he forced the door open so that he could take another picture from the roof.
Police did not find Lucidi until his body was back on the ground. They also discovered his sports camera at the scene, which contained videos of extreme sports.
An official statement and the cause of the man's death are yet to be revealed by the Hong Kong authorities.
On Instagram, Lucidi shared photos and videos of his dangerous climbing adventures with 5,362 followers. Recent posts saw him at the top of high-rise scaffolding and buildings in countries including, Colombia, Portugal, Bulgaria, France, and UAE.
Shortly before his death, Lucidi posted a picture of the Hong Kong skyline. The post has now been flooded with condolences from the skyscraper climber's fans.

The adventurer had been staying at a hostel in Tsim Sha Tsui, which is in southern Kowloon. The hostel owner, Gurjit Kaur, told the New York Post that Lucidi was a "friendly and humble guy".
"He was healthy and fit and happy-faced," Kaur told the news outlet. "I feel very sad."
An employee at the hostel also claimed that he had spoken with Lucidi several times before his sudden death, and he was only visiting Hong Kong on vacation.
"He told me he was going to hike a mountain when I asked where he was going. He said he wanted to hike a lot when he was here," they added.
Our thoughts are with Lucidi's family, friends, and fans at this time.
