The Skyscraper climber who sadly passed away after falling from a 68th floor shared a harrowing post just days before the tragic incident.

Remi Lucidi - known as Remi Enigma on social media - was a photographer who made a name for himself by scaling towering buildings all around the world.

Unfortunately, the 30-year-old Frenchman met his demise during one of his dangerous adventures as he fell to his death after reportedly getting trapped outside the Tregunter Tower complex, as reported by the South China Morning Post.

According to investigators, the stuntman arrived at the penthouse in the evening and told the security guard that he was visiting a friend on the 40th floor. It is believed that he made his way to the top floor and got trapped outside, so started frantically knocking on all the windows to get back inside the building.

However, Lucidi lost his footing and plunged, dying instantly.

Just two weeks before his death, the daredevil took to his Instagram to share a chilling picture he took high up on a structure in Bulgaria using a selfie stick. The caption read: "Life is too short to chase unicorns," followed by a skull emoji.

In another haunting post from one week ago, he appeared lying down on the roof of a building using a drone to capture his surroundings with the ominous caption: "The Matrix has you…⁣"

The post has now been inundated with tribute messages and condolences from Lucidi's 9,684 followers.

Per The New York Post, Hong Kong officials alleged that the building’s security guard tried to cross-examine the man's claim of visiting a friend but he had already caught an elevator by then.

An insider also told the publication that Lucidi was last seen banging on a penthouse window on the 68th floor of Tregunter Tower at about 7:30PM - which prompted a startled maid to contact the police.

In addition to this, a further report stated that CCTV footage showed the man taking the stairs to the top level but it was locked so he forced the door open so that he could take another picture from the roof.

The late adventurer had been staying at a hostel in Tsim Sha Tsui, which is in southern Kowloon. The hostel owner, Gurjit Kaur, told the outlet that Lucidi was a "friendly and humble guy" and that he is heartbroken over the news.

An employee at the hostel also claimed that he had spoken with Lucidi several times before his sudden death, and he was only visiting Hong Kong on vacation.

"He told me he was going to hike a mountain when I asked where he was going. He said he wanted to hike a lot when he was here," they added.

Police did not find Lucidi until his body was back on the ground. They also discovered his sports camera at the scene, which contained videos of extreme sports.

An official statement and the cause of the man's death are yet to be revealed by the Hong Kong authorities.

Our thoughts are with Lucidi's family, friends, and fans at this time.
