A puppy has found its forever home after it was seen "smiling" at every visitor that visited the rescue center.

Getting a dog is without a doubt one of the best joys that anyone will ever bring into their life, but sadly, not every dog is treated with the unconditional love that it offers to us.

Rescue shelters house the dogs that haven't yet found their forever home or had to be taken under some bad circumstances, and they seek to find them a place to live happily.

But when it comes to being adopted, dogs have the job of making themselves stand out to potential new owners, and although a pooch's face is usually enough to seal the deal, one dog has taken it to a new level.

Meet Burreaux, a black labrador puppy.

Just stare at Burreaux for a while and let him melt your heart.

According to the Mirror, the adorable puppy was brought to the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana with his siblings by director Courtney Wingate.

Quickly after his arrival, Courtney noticed something different about Burreaux, and that was that he has the adorable ability to smile at people.

The siblings were named after three Louisiana State University Football players, and Burreaux stood out from the crowd by widely grinning at those looking to adopt a dog.

As per the Mirror, a worker from the rescue center said: "Burreaux came to us from Caddo Animal Control with his two siblings. He is active, playful, and so sweet. He is the runt of the bunch. We have even started teaching him how to play fetch."

As is customary, the puppies had to undergo medical checks before being put up for adoption, and although everything came back fine, Burreaux fell ill just after he arrived.

"Our sweet little Burreaux has parvo," the rescue worker said at the time. "We thought it was only hookworms, but tested positive for parvo. He is at our vet now being monitored with fluids, antibiotics, and anti-nausea meds and will stay there until he is doing better."

Thankfully, the adorable puppy made a full recovery and after grinning at a couple who were looking to adopt, he found his forever home. His siblings also found homes of their own.

In celebration of his adoption, the rescue center said: "Happy life Burreaux! Our sweet smiling boy who became social media viral with his grin has found his forever [home]!"

People had been taken with Burreaux's story, and they left him well-wishes on the Facebook post.

One person said: "Please take good care of Burreaux, he's a sweetie, a good home and alot of love," while a second added: "It warms my heart that this sweet pup now has a forever home. Hope the Family enjoys many Blessings for years to come."

A third person said: "You brought real joy to this little puppers. You have wonderful Hearts. All the best in your future with your new little family member."

We hope Burreaux is living his best life in his forever home, and keeping his grin going!
