Social distancing is of the utmost importance during the ongoing pandemic to prevent the spread of Covid-19, as per the CDC guidelines.
Now, a son has been told off after moving his chair to comfort his heartbroken mother at his father's socially distanced funeral.
When the chair was moved, a member of staff at the crematory ran up to the family to tell them not to move their chairs, despite the fact that they had all been in close contact earlier that day.
Watch the incident below:Craig Bicknell, from Milton Keynes, England, moved his chair to be closer to his mother when he noticed how upset she was at the ceremony at Crownhill Crematorium.
However, after the chairs were moved - the family of Alan Wright, who passed away from a heart attack - were told to return them to their socially distanced positions at the funeral on 2 October.
As per the Metro, Craig said he and his brother Paul were devastated after the "telling off".
He said on Facebook: "I can sit in a restaurant, I can sit in a pub, I can live at her house, I can travel in a limousine to the crematorium with six."
"But when I want to give my mum a cuddle at dad's funeral, a man flies out mid-service shouting stop the service and makes us split… A devastating day made even worse."
In an interview with the Daily Mail, a spokesperson for Milton Keynes Council said: "We are sorry to have upset this family. We don't usually step in if a guest needs to be comforted by another family member and in this instance should have taken a more considered approach."
"We ask funeral directors to let us know whether any chairs should be grouped in advance, and from now on this includes guests who are in the same household or bubbles, as well as people who need extra support. We hope this provides additional comfort at a difficult time."
As per the Metro, funerals are allowed to take place in the UK with a maximum of 30 guests. However, activities including singing, chanting, and anything that requires raised voices or instruments are not permitted.
Social distancing rules between different households should apply.
