Prince William visited MI6 this week, but the details surrounding his visit have been kept under wraps.

The Prince of Wales, 41, engaged with the British Secret Intelligence Service, which specializes in foreign intelligence and safeguarding the UK from external espionage activities.

While royal visits to MI6 are typically announced beforehand, William's visit was only revealed after his departure.

The visit was recorded in the Court Circular on Friday morning, the daily record of official royal engagements.

The specifics of the visit remain undisclosed, and it is unclear whom William met with during his time there.

According to The Telegraph, the Court Circular entry stated: “The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited the Secret Intelligence Service.”

This visit echoes a similar one in 2022 when William was still the Duke of Cambridge. In 2012, he visited MI6 headquarters with his wife, Princess Catherine.

In 2019, William spent three weeks working with MI5, MI6, and GCHQ teams to deepen his understanding of the UK's security and intelligence operations.

“These agencies are full of people from everyday backgrounds doing the most extraordinary work to keep us safe,” the future king said at the time.

“They work in secret, often not even able to tell their family and friends about the work they do or the stresses they face.”

This visit occurred just two days before the King’s annual Trooping the Colour ceremony, a major event in the royal calendar.

While King Charles has confirmed his attendance, it remains uncertain if the Princess of Wales, 42, will appear.

She has largely stayed out of the public eye since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March, though recent reports indicate she is “considering” making a balcony appearance over the weekend.

Regarding the Princess of Wales, she recently released a rare public statement as she continues her battle with cancer.

Despite her understandable absence, Princess Catherine issued an apology for missing the Trooping the Colour rehearsal on June 8.

In a letter to the Irish Guards, where she serves as honorary Colonel, the Princess wrote: "I wanted to write and let you know how proud I am of the entire Regiment ahead of the Colonel’s Review and Trooping the Colour.

"I appreciate everyone trooping this year has been practicing for months, and dedicating many hours to ensuring their uniforms and drills are immaculate. Please pass my apologies to the whole Regiment, however, I do hope that I am able to represent you all once again very soon.

"Please send my very best wishes and good luck to all involved," she continued, signing off as "Colonel Catherine."
