Meghan Markle has been showered with love by the Royal Family on her 40th birthday.

On Wednesday, August 4, the official Twitter account of the royals shared three pictures of the Duchess of Sussex.

These images showed the Queen and Meghan in Chester back in 2018, while another shows the Sussexes with their son Archie in South Africa.

This post was captioned: "Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday today!"

Prince William and Kate Middleton then shared some well-wishes of their own on their own Twitter account, writing in a message they shared with their 2.2 million followers on the platform: "Wishing a happy 40th birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!"

This seems to hint that the perceived rift between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the British Royalty is seemingly in the process of healing.

Harry and Meghan provoked controversy back in 2020 when they made the announcement that they would be retiring from public life and moving overseas.

Tensions were further exacerbated when Harry and Meghan appeared to spill the beans on royal life in a highly-publicized interview with Oprah Winfrey.

However, the other royals were apparently happy to also wish the couple their sincere congratulations upon hearing the news of the birth of their daughter Lillibet, named after Queen Elizabeth herself.

A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace delivered the reaction of the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton over the happy news, stating:

"The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news of the birth of a daughter for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex."

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton reacted to the news in a post of their own made on Instagram.

Sharing a black-and-white photograph of Harry, Meghan, and their first son Archie with their 12 million followers, the couple wrote in a caption:

"We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili. Congratulations to Harry, Meghan, and Archie."
