Victims of Bushey crossbow killings are the wife and daughters of BBC star

In a heartbreaking update on the tragic Bushey tragedy, the three females killed in the attack have been identified as the wife and daughters of BBC star John Hunt.

As previously reported, police in the UK are on the hunt for 26-year-old Kyle Clifford, who is wanted in relation to the killings of three females in Bushey, near Watford.

Earlier today, is was reported that emergency services responded to a residence in Ashlyn Close around 7:00 PM on Tuesday evening (July 9) after receiving distressing reports.

Per BBC News, the victims tragically succumbed to their injuries despite the efforts of police and ambulance crews.

Now, it has been confirmed by the BBC that the victims are the wife and two daughters of BBC Racing radio commentator John Hunt

Only his wife, 61-year-old Carol Hunt, has been named at this time. Their daughters were 25 and 28 respectively.

John Hunt is a 58-year-old former police officer has worked for BBC Radio Five Live for the last 20-years, per The Telegraph.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson said police believe the killings are a "targeted attack".

He confirmed that the "horrific incident" involved the use of a crossbow and urged the public not to approach Clifford is spotted. Simpson added that "extensive police resources" have been deployed to north London and Bushey in an effort to find Clifford.

One resident of Ashlyn Close told the BBC that they could hear "shrill screaming" coming from a house, before police arrived within "15 minutes" and put the street "on lockdown".

Local councillor Laurence Brass, told the BBC about the moment he saw authorities descend on the property, saying: "At about eight o'clock last night, I was watching the football on television, and suddenly a helicopter landed in the lawn outside my flat, which is at the top of this road, and then my phone started going, and I was told that there was a major incident here in Bushey and we should all keep away because there was somebody apparently on the run."

"This is not something that happens in Bushey," he added. "We can't remember a murder in our rather quiet neck of the woods, so (it's a) terrible shock and our sympathies and prayers and thoughts are with the families of the three women."
