Body language expert reveals chilling thing Nick Reiner did with microphone in resurfaced interview with dad Rob

A body language expert has analyzed one haunting thing Nick Reiner did with the microphone in a resurfaced interview with his father, Rob.

Hollywood is reeling after the shocking deaths of the iconic filmmaker and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, who were found stabbed to death inside their Los Angeles mansion.

Their 32-year-old son, Nick, has been arrested on suspicion of murder, and now a resurfaced interview between the father and son has taken on an eerie new significance.

Nick was the middle child of Rob and Michele, with an older brother, Jake, and a younger sister, Romy.

Despite being raised in a well-known Hollywood family, he struggled for years with addiction, entering rehab at least 17 times starting at age 15.

His addictions to heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine led to multiple periods of homelessness across the country.

“I was homeless in Maine. I was homeless in New Jersey. I was homeless in Texas,” Nick told People in 2015.

“I spent nights on the street. I spent weeks on the street. It was not fun.”

Nick later turned those experiences into the semi-autobiographical screenplay Being Charlie, which his father directed.

The 2015 film followed an 18-year-old addict and his father, a Hollywood actor running for governor, who struggles to help his son.

During a 2016 interview to promote the film, the late director spoke emotionally about how the project had helped him understand his son better.

But according to body language analyst @Dr. G Explains, Nick’s behavior during the conversation revealed discomfort and emotional distance.

“[Reiner] really does feel what he’s saying. He means what he’s saying. He believes that he understands him better, that he’s a better father now,” the expert noted.

“Whereas Nick Reiner, as he was saying that, started looking up, started looking around, totally disconnected from it.”

The analyst pointed out that Nick failed to make eye contact or nod in acknowledgment, gestures typically expected in such a heartfelt moment.

“We're seeing a total disconnection from the feelings about this to a disconnection from his father in the situation,” Dr. G explained.

The Moment That Left Viewers Uneasy

The most unsettling moment came when Nick subtly adjusted his microphone as if preparing to respond, but then held back.

“He’s not coming out and saying, ‘Hey, I have something I want to say about that,’” the expert observed.

“He’s very subtly doing this. And he may feel very uncomfortable asserting himself.”

“So right now everything’s saying that Nick Reiner is uncomfortable,” the expert continued.

“Switching hands now with the microphone. He’s gripping his chair. He’s blinking slowly. We close our eyes. We think about things that we don’t like. So it’s bringing something up for him that he doesn’t like.”

The expert concluded: “I don’t know if it’s that he doesn’t like hearing his father talk about this.

"I don’t know if it brings back old memories, but this does not seem to be a pleasant experience for him at all.”

The unease captured in that interview has resurfaced as prosecutors allege that Nick killed both his parents years later.

Timeline of Arrest and Charges

Newly released surveillance footage from the night of the murders shows Nick appearing calm and collected in the hours after the killings.

In one clip, he is seen at a gas station in the Exposition Park area of Los Angeles, wearing a hat and carrying a red backpack as he casually purchases a drink.

Shortly afterward, he was arrested near the intersection of Exposition Boulevard and Vermont Avenue. Video footage shows him raising his hands before being handcuffed without resistance.

The arrest came just hours after Rob and Michele's lifeless bodies were discovered by their daughter, Romy.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has charged Nick with two counts of first-degree murder and added a special allegation that he personally used a knife.

If convicted, he faces life in prison without parole. His attorney, Alan Jackson, said Nick has yet to appear in court as he remains under mandatory medical evaluation.
