The 'Chinese Nostradamus' who predicted Donald Trump's Iran war has made some terrifying new predictions for 2027.
Jiang Xueqin is a Chinese-born Canadian educator and commentator who has made a name for himself after forecasting global events using a mix of historical patterns and game theory.
He previously predicted Trump's 2024 election win and warned that if he returned to power, there 'will be a very strong likelihood that the United States will go to war with Iran,' both of which have since come true.
Now, Jiang has turned his attention to 2027, laying out five scenarios ranging from a ground invasion of Tehran to economic collapse.
Jiang's first prediction is that the existing conflict with Iran will escalate dramatically.
"America is going to send ground troops into Iran, a full-scale ground invasion, and it is going to become a quagmire," he said.
His second forecast follows directly from the first, as the professor believes a prolonged conflict could result in a return of military conscription in the US.
"Prediction two: A national draft and why Gen Z will not go,” he said.
"So by 2027, the framework for a national draft should already be in place.
"It is possible that legislation has already been passed. It is possible that certain people have already been drafted, and here is the problem with the national draft."
Jiang's third prediction focuses on what will happen in the US.
“And now prediction three - and this is a prediction that will surprise most people because most people are focused on what is happening overseas.
"They are not paying attention to what is happening at home," he said.
"By 2027, ICE will be far more powerful than most people currently imagine, and the National Guard will be deployed to every major American city," he added.
Jiang then predicted that there will be a worldwide financial crisis.
"Prediction four: the global economy collapses… this will affect every single person watching this video regardless of where you live," he warned.
And lastly, the final prediction brings the previous scenarios together.
"Prediction five: the ingredients for civil war are in place. By 2027, all the ingredients for civil war in America should already be in place," he said.
He explained: "Now I want to be very clear about what I mean by civil war.
"I do not mean two armies fighting each other in the streets.
"That is not what modern civil conflict looks like.
"What it looks like is this: nationwide discontent, riots, protests, insurgencies, low-level conflict that is everywhere and nowhere simultaneously."
The latest warnings come after Jiang revealed in his interview with podcaster Steven Bartlett that Trump will stay in the White House beyond the constitutional two-term limit - which will lead to 'a siege of New York City'.
The 80-year-old has repeatedly spoken about serving a third term as president, despite the US Constitution's 22nd Amendment limiting presidents to two elected terms.
The professor believes Trump will still find a way to remain in power following the 2028 election.
"Let's imagine what happens if Trump gets a third term. You would have a lot of pissed-off people, especially in the major cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, and New York City," he said.
According to him, there are many ways the president could try to remain in office, although some would run directly into the Constitution's presidential term limit.
"Let's just say there is a national emergency and the president is forced to suspend the constitution," he says. "Then he could theoretically have his third term."
Jiang also suggested another hypothetical strategy involving Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.
He predicted that Trump could fund a presidential campaign for Donald Jr., who could then resign immediately after being sworn into office in favor of his running mate, Donald Trump.
"There's nothing in the constitution that prevents him from doing that," he said.
Jiang argued that the American political system has depended not only on written rules but also on politicians respecting tradition.
He believes that regardless of the result of the November 2028 election, Trump will still be in the White House in 2029.
Jiang believes that this could lead to a political confrontation approaching civil war in Democratic-controlled cities.
"What will happen is these cities that are Democratic will be in open revolt, meaning they will refuse to pay taxes to the federal government, but they will also not welcome ICE federal agents into their cities," he said.
"Historically, if that were to happen, then the US president will usually think that he has responsibility to quash this insurrection," he continued.
"This would over time lead to the siege of New York City - maybe federal forces along with possibly militias from other states, possibly red states that favour Trump."
"They would try to besiege New York City by cutting off the food supply and water supply to New York City. And this will be a conflict that could go on for years and years," he added.
