On Friday night (October 25), Rogan released his nearly three-hour sit-down interview with 78-year-old Trump on the former's popular The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

Throughout the show, Rogan and Trump discussed a number of issues and subjects - from the recent attempts on Trump's life to SpaceX to North Korea to the Democratic Party's nominee Kamala Harris.

And the episode has certainly gotten people talking - with the show amassing more than 350,000 views just 30 minutes after it was posted. As of this writing, the YouTube version of the show has more than 7.5 million views.

During the show, the former POTUS told Rogan that the position of president is a "dangerous" one - referring to the two recent attempts on his life.

"I do things that don’t necessarily make me so popular," Trump said. "I just do what’s right."

"I understand what I’m doing. You make yourself a target, and it’s a very dangerous business. I never thought of that when I did it," he continued.

Last month, Trump's Secret Service detail leaped into action when an alleged gunman was spotted hiding in the shrubbery surrounding the golf course at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, fled the scene after a Secret Service agent opened fire, but he was later arrested and charged with attempting to assassinate a presidential candidate, along with other crimes. Fortunately, Trump was not injured in the alarming incident.

And back in July, during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump was wounded in the ear after 20-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire from a rooftop 130 yards away.

As well as Trump being injured and bundled to the ground by Secret Service personnel, two audience members were injured and another tragically killed.

Crooks was fatally shot by a Secret Service agent.

Speaking about the July shooting, Rogan admitted to Trump: "Once they shot you, I was like, 'He's gotta come in here'".

Trump then said that the assassination attempt made him a "tougher guy", as Rogan asked: "Do you even have a scar on your ear?"

"I do," Trump said.

"Let me see," the host responded.

Trump then turned his head and showed Rogan his injury, to which the host said: "Oh, it's a tiny little mark."

Explaining his injury in more detail, Trump said: "It zicked right there - "

"-It healed up pretty f***ing good," Rogan interjected.

"It’s not like some of the wrestlers, some of the UFC fighters... it was sort of like a top shot. The thing’s taken off a little bit," Trump explained, referring to cauliflower ear fighters sometimes develop.

Elsewhere in the podcast, Trump spoke about Tesla boss Elon Musk endorsing him, and suggested that Rogan should do the same thing.

"[Musk] gave me the nicest endorsement," Trump said. "You should do the same thing Joe because you cannot be voting for Kamala. Kamala. You’re not a Kamala person. I know you."

Trump then joked that he knew Rogan "almost as well" as the host's wife.

As Rogan started laughing, Trump continued: "I have watched you for so many years. You’re not a Kamala person. You’re a Khabib person – but you’re not a Kamala person." ("Khabib" most likely referring to UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov - which also caused Rogan to laugh.)

Rogan then directed the conversation back on track without sharing who he would be voting for in the upcoming election.

The Joe Rogan Experience host has never been the biggest advocate for Trump, and has previously spoken out against supporting him.

Back in 2022, Rogan revealed on the Lex Fridman Podcast: "I am not a Trump supporter in any way shape or form."

He then revealed that Trump's team had previously reached out to Rogan for an interview, to which, Rogan said: “I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once, I’ve said ‘no’ every time.

"I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”

However, as we all know in these ever-changing climates, opinions can change - and this podcast is certainly proof of that.
