Gypsy Rose Blanchard has offered some advice to the Menendez brothers should they ever be released from prison.

Erik and Lyle Menendez have been in the spotlight lately with Netflix releasing two new shows based on their lives.

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story revisits the notorious 1989 murders of José and Kitty Menendez, who were killed by their sons in their Beverly Hills home.

José Menendez was shot five times, including once at point-blank range, while Kitty Menendez was shot nine times as she attempted to flee.

After committing the murders, the brothers reportedly discarded evidence and attended a screening of Batman at a local theater.

They later returned home and called 911, hysterically claiming to have discovered their parents’ bodies. Their arrest came six months later, in March 1990, per the Daily Mail.

The Menendez brothers were eventually convicted of first-degree murder after two trials, which included a mistrial and multiple juries.

Central to their defense was the claim that they had suffered years of physical and sexual abuse at the hands of their father.

Gypsy Rose is someone who can relate to the Menendez's story, as she was also jailed following the murder of her mother.

After being sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2016 for her role in the murder of Dee Dee Blanchard, Gypsy Rose broke up with her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn, who is currently serving life without parole for committing the killing.

Gypsy Rose is now enjoying her freedom and has taken social media by storm since her release.

The Menendez brothers are currently serving life behind bars, but remain adamant that they are the victims in their story.

TMZ caught up with Gypsy Rose to get her thoughts on Erik and Lyle.

While she admitted she isn’t deeply familiar with the details of the Menendez case, she voiced her support for victims of abuse, saying: “I stand for all victims of abuse.”

She added that more needs to be done to advocate for those who have experienced trauma and called for prison reform to address the needs of such individuals.

Gypse Rose also reacted to news that reality star Kim Kardashian has thrown her support behind Erik and Lyle. “

Kim’s a wise woman,” Gypsy Rose said, applauding Kardashian for her work in prison reform and advocating for those who may have been wrongfully convicted or excessively sentenced.

Reflecting on her own experience transitioning from prison life, Gypsy advised the Menendez brothers to prepare for the stark differences in the world today.

"The world is so different now, it can be hard to adjust," she said, recommending therapy as a way to help with the transition.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney is currently reviewing the Menendez case after a former member of the band Menudo accused José Menendez of sexual abuse - similar to the allegations made by his sons.

The D.A.’s office is expected to decide soon whether Erik and Lyle should be granted a new trial or a reduced sentence.
