In one of the weirdest and wackiest crossovers to ever exist, it has been reported that Gypsy Rose Blanchard hopes to meet Taylor Swift after her release from prison next month.

While some people look forward to eating their favorite meals or seeing their loved ones freely after doing some time behind bars, it seems as though one of America's most famous criminals is actually looking forward to meeting her idol, 33-year-old Grammy-award-winning musician Taylor Swift.

TMZ reported that Blanchard and her husband Ryan Scott Anderson have tickets for the Kansas City Chiefs game on December 31, just three days after her release on December 28.

Of course, recently Swift has been appearing at the Chiefs' games in support of her newest love interest Travis Kelce and what better way to bond with the star than to throw on an ol' jersey and make small talk in the stands?

However, if it doesn't work out and the 'Shake It Off' singer isn't present at the Arrowhead Stadium, Blanchard also has some sort of backup plan that sees her buying tickets for Swift's October 2024 Eras tour stop in New Orleans.

The outlet reported that she was "determined" to meet her idol, who she adoringly calls the "kick-a** chick" who taught her the "true meaning of girl power."

Now, you might be wondering how Blanchard managed to keep up with being a Swiftie in prison, but over her seven years at Missouri's Department of Corrections, she did her best to remain dedicated to the cause.

Blanchard admitted that she used the commissary money her father sent to buy every single album released by the star and not only that, she also used her music as a source of inspiration during difficult times, in particular, the song 'Eyes Open.'

The lyrics of the song, which features on the soundtrack of The Hunger Games: Songs from District 12 and Beyond, state: "Everybody's waiting for you to breakdown / Everybody's watching to see the fallout / Even when you're sleeping, sleeping / Keep your eyes open."

The lyrics stuck with the 32-year-old in order to help her deal with the trauma her mom, Dee Dee, put her through which saw her eventually land herself a 10-year sentence for her murder.

In one of the world's most notorious cases, what looked to be a loving relationship between a mother-daughter duo was actually riddled with secrets and lies, so much so that it led to the murder of Dee Dee.

Throughout her life, Blanchard was falsely diagnosed with extreme medical conditions, undergoing surgeries and suffering interventions she did not need thanks to the lies her mom told medical professionals.

Shortly after she was born in 1991, her mom claimed that she had sleep apnea - a condition that causes the breathing to stop and start while a person sleeps - and things only continued to escalate as a whole string of other fabricated illnesses also followed, including leukemia and muscular dystrophy, which confined the little girl to a wheelchair for a massive portion of her life.

It was only later on that experts discovered that there was actually nothing wrong with Blanchard and, instead, her mother was suffering from Munchausen by proxy syndrome, a disorder that sees a person fake sickness on behalf of another.

After years of living under her mother's control, Blanchard decided she was going to get Nicholas Godejohn, a man she met on a Christian dating website, to kill her.

Then in June 2015, Godejohn came over to the house one night and repeatedly stabbed the unknowing victim while she was asleep.

Both perpetrators were caught and sentenced to prison for their part in the crime but it has been confirmed that 32-year-old Blanchard will be released early on parole.

As per the Springfield News-Leader, Missouri's Department of Corrections has confirmed that she will be released on December 28 - after serving just seven years of her original sentence.
