After serving nearly a decade in prison for her role in the shocking murder of her abusive mother, Gypsy Rose Blanchard finds herself in uncharted territory as a free woman.

Gypsy Rose, now 32, was granted parole back in September, having been sentenced to a ten-year prison term for the murder of her mother, Clauddine 'Dee Dee' Blanchard, in 2015.

Her case garnered nationwide attention when it was revealed that Dee Dee had been faking Gypsy Rose's illness, making her use a wheelchair, shaving her head, and subjecting her to unnecessary medical procedures.

The tragic story took a gruesome turn when Gypsy Rose met Nicholas 'Nick' Godejohn online, resulting in a sinister plan that culminated in Dee Dee's murder at the hands of Godejohn.

Now free from prison, Gypsy Rose is expressing remorse for her actions and hoping for a fresh start, believing that this new chapter in her life will be devoid of hardships.

In an emotional interview with People, Gypsy Rose reflected on her past and the profound regret she feels for her mother's death: "If I had another chance to redo everything, I don't know if I would go back to when I was a child and tell my aunts and uncles that I'm not sick and mommy makes me sick.

"Or if I would travel back to just the point of that conversation with Nick and tell him, 'You know what, I'm going to go tell the police everything.' I kind of struggle with that. Nobody will ever hear me say I'm glad she's dead or I'm proud of what I did. I regret it every single day."

However, Gypsy Rose's newfound freedom has come with unexpected challenges. The online community has proven to be a double-edged sword, with fake profiles impersonating her emerging shortly after her release.

Gypsy Rose took to social media platforms Facebook and Instagram to share her first post-freedom selfie, where she already boasts an impressive 3.8 million followers.

In her Instagram caption, she exclaimed, "First selfie of freedom!" Her bio reads, "Public Figure, Public Speaker, Author, Advocating Awareness about Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy."

Despite just two days passing since her first post, Gypsy Rose had to address the issue of fake profiles on her social media platforms.

She shared a screenshot of a fake account on Instagram with a warning: "WARNING! Watch out for fake Gypsy accounts like this one. My Instagram is verified, and I am working on verification on my other social media. Please be mindful of what accounts you see and follow and report any suspicious or fake accounts. Thank you."

Fortunately, Gypsy Rose's supporters were quick to rally behind her. Her followers have grown steadily since the release of her book, Released: Conversations on the Eve of Freedom, and the upcoming docu-series, The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

One commenter wrote, "You literally have an army of girlies standing behind you. We love you. Do not play with Gypsy."

And another supporter chimed in, "Okay queen on my way to report the fakes."

Gypsy Rose's journey from prison to freedom continues to captivate the public's attention as she navigates the challenges of her newfound life outside the confines of her jail cell. As her story unfolds, the online community stands by her side, ready to support her through the ups and downs that lie ahead.
