Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are your classic on-again-off-again couple. The Hollywood pair have been keeping us on our toes for years now, and all we want to do is see a happily ever after.

However, recent reports have suggested that a rom-com style ending is not nigh for the Hollywood pair, who first got together back in 2009. An insider has claimed that the Wrecking Ball singer and her actor beau have called off their wedding and parted ways, amid fights over when to start a family together.

The anonymous source allegedly told OK! Australia that the celebrity power couple couldn't agree on when exactly to have children, with Hunger Games star Liam keen to settle down immediately and his girlfriend not so sure. "He wants kids and doesn't want to keep putting it off but it's not quite the timeline Miley had in mind... he is left heartbroken," the source reportedly said. "Miley put off plans for the wedding and Liam was growing tired of it... They haven't been getting along in recent months."

The insider added: "[She] didn't really want to get married. It's something that everyone else seemed to get but Liam. [His] family had been begging him to see the light for a long time, but he had faith in Miley. Now he feels like an idiot."

Various news outlets picked up the story, and people were devastated to hear those two crazy kids couldn't make it work. But it turns out questionable gossip tabloids might not be the most reliable source of information. Liam Hemsworth broke his silence on the matter by posting a video on Instagram Stories. Once again, we can all believe in love, because Liam and Miley appear to very much still be a couple.

In the clip, Liam and Miley jam to music in the car, and Liam suddenly screams without warning. Startled into facetious anger, Miley threatens, "I'm going to beat the sh..." Unfazed, Liam celebrates his prank by holding up a finger and declaring himself, "Number one." It's a funny video that proves the pair is at peak couple. Rumours of their split-up can be safely dismissed as "fake news."

OK! Australia has deleted their original story. But that report is one of a bevvy of rumours about the pair's romance, including one which claimed that they were already married in secret in Malibu. 'Insiders' apparently told Life & Style magazine the pair secretly wed in a ‘hippie-style’ ceremony at their Malibu, California mansion in March 2018. However, interviews with Miley herself support the theory that the star is, in fact, not ready for marriage yet.

Despite her engagement to Liam, last year, the Party in the U.S.A. singer stated that getting married is not a priority. "I'm just riding this out. I don't envision marriage. I'm 24. I hope I get to live a little bit more. I have too much living to do [before I get married]," she told The Sun.

The couple first met on the set of their movie The Last Song, a 2010 American coming of age teen romantic drama film based on Nicholas Sparks' 2009 novel of the same name. They had an on-off relationship for years before getting engaged in June 2012, however, this was later called off in September 2013.

Liam later spoke out about their time apart in a GQ interview; the actor stated that their 2013 split was difficult on him, "but at the time we were going in different directions and it’s just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time — we both needed that."

Here's hoping they won't split up again and they will continue posting cute videos.
