The First Lady, Melania Trump, has broken her silence after Joe Biden was projected to win the 2020 US presidential election.

The Democrat candidate and former Vice President was projected by multiple news and media outlets to become the 46th president of the United States on Saturday, November 7.

This video purports to show the difference between Melania Trump and Jill Biden:

As of the time of writing, CNN projects that Joe Biden has received 279 electoral votes and a total of 76,166,191 public votes and that Donald Trump has received 214 electoral votes with a total of 71,534,093 public votes.

However, incumbent POTUS Donald Trump has contested the projections and even made allegations of electoral fraud. Trump has also released a statement claiming that he intends to pursue legal action against the ballot count.

Up until now, Melania had been silent on the subject of the projected electoral outcome. But now, in a tweet addressed to her 15.9 million Twitter followers, the 50-year-old First Lady wrote:

"The American people deserve fair elections. Every legal - not illegal - vote should be counted. We must protect our democracy with complete transparency."

According to a report by The Daily Mail, Melania Trump has also not yet extended an invitation to meet Joe Biden's wife Jill Biden at the White House.

Trump earlier issued a press release in which he stated that the election was "far from over," making it clear that he has no intention of conceding to Biden.

Trump wrote: "Beginning Monday, our campaign will start prosecuting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated.

"The American People are entitled to an honest election: that means counting all legal ballots, and not counting any illegal ballots. This is the only way to ensure the public has full confidence in our election."

He added: "It remains shocking that the Biden campaign refuses to agree with this basic principle and wants ballots counted even if they are fraudulent, manufactured, or cast by ineligible or deceased voters."

It is important to note that it is common for media agencies to reveal their election projections based on voting analysis and counted ballots.
