Marjorie Taylor Greene says she has filed articles of impeachment against Joe Biden arguing that he is "unfit" to be president and "will do whatever it takes to bail out" his son Hunter Biden.

On Thursday, (January 21), the US Representative for Georgia's 14th congressional district took to Twitter, from which she was temporarily locked, to post a video saying she had filed articles of impeachment against the incumbent president.

Greene filed the articles a day after Biden's inauguration.

Watch President Biden deliver his Inaugural Address:

"I just filed Articles of Impeachment on President Joe Biden," Rep. Greene says in a video. "We'll see how this goes."

The Republican Congresswoman took to Twitter again on Thursday to post a full statement, in which she said that Biden "is unfit to hold the office of the Presidency."

She wrote:

"President Joe Biden is unfit to hold the office of the presidency.

"His pattern of abuse of power as President Obama's Vice President is lengthy and disturbing.

"President Biden has demonstrated that he will do whatever it takes to bail out his son, Hunter, and line his family's pockets with cash from corrupt foreign energy companies,'"

Per the Independent, Rep. Greene had filed the articles over baseless claims of corruption against Biden and his family in Ukraine, Russia, and China.

The publication goes on to report that a Senate investigation by Republicans in 2020 found no evidence of corruption and no evidence that Hunter's work for Burisma had any influence on US foreign policy.

Rep. Greene initially announced her plans to file articles of impeachment against Biden on January 13. Taking to Twitter, she shared with her 281K followers: "On January 21, 2021, I'll be filing Articles of Impeachment against Joe Biden for abuse of power."

According to the Associated Press, Rep. Greene is a supporter of the far-right QAnon conspiracy theory and has been accused of making racist comments.

On Sunday (January 17), Twitter suspended Greene's account for 12 hours after she consistently violated the platform's new rules that were put in place following the deadly US Capitol riot on January 6.

A Twitter spokesperson told NBC News: "The account referenced has been temporarily locked out for multiple violations of our civic integrity policy."

Per CNN, Greene had posted a series of conspiracy-laden tweets earlier on Sunday regarding the Georgia Senate elections.

Several tweets were flagged and accompanied with the warning: "This claim about election fraud is disputed, and this Tweet can't be replied to, retweeted, or liked due to a risk of violence."

The tweets have since been deleted.
