A San Antonio hospital has provided an update for two young girls and an adult following the Uvalde school shooting in Texas.

On May 24, an 18-year-old gunman entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, just two days before the students' summer break.

Authorities have named the gunman as teenager Salvador Ramos, who went on the rampage after shooting his grandmother in the head and crashing a vehicle nearby the school. Ramos also reportedly sent a series of disturbing texts to a 15-year-old girl in Germany prior to the shooting.

Ramos entered the elementary school carrying a handgun, an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, and high-capacity magazines. After opening fire on a classroom, he killed 19 children between the ages of nine and 11, as well as two teachers.

Many others were injured as a result of the rampage.

Now, University Hospital in San Antonio has provided an update on three of the victims in its care, including two children aged nine and 10.

Officials for the hospital tweeted that the nine-year-old girl has been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment, however, the 10-year-old girl remains in a serious condition.

Additionally, a 66-year-old woman - believed to be Ramos' grandmother - is also in a good condition.

Another child who was discharged from the hospital is 11-year-old Miah Cerrillo, whose family say survived the attack after covering herself in blood and playing dead.

In an interview with NBC Los Angeles, the aunt and godmother of 11-year-old Miah Cerrillo recalled how the youngster made it through the horrific ordeal alive.

"Miah got some blood and put it on herself so she could pretend she was dead," godmother Blanca Rivera said. "It's too much for me to play that scene over and over again, but that's what my sister-in-law said is that she saw her friend full of blood and she got blood and put it on herself."

Now, Miah's mom has started a GoFundMe in order to help her daughter through the trauma of what she experienced and help with any additional medical bills. The girl's mom says on the fundraising page that her daughter was injured by a "bullet fragment on her back".

As of this writing, more than $460,000 has been raised for the girl.

Our thoughts continue to go out to all of those affected by this tragedy...
