Incumbent President Donald Trump has once again seemed to claim this week that he "won" the 2020 US presidential election.

Democrat candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden was projected by multiple news and media outlets to become the 46th president of the United States on Saturday, November 7.

Trump recently provoked controversy by appearing to condone violence against BLM protesters:

As of the time of writing, CNN projects that Joe Biden has received 306 electoral votes and a total of 78,678,763 public votes and that Donald Trump has received 232 electoral votes with a total of 73,116,708 public votes.

However, Trump has thus far refused to concede the election and even baselessly alleged voter fraud on the part of the Democrat Party.

On the morning of November 16, in a post addressed to his 8 million Twitter followers, the 74-year-old POTUS wrote: "I WON THE ELECTION! [sic]"

The social media platform slapped a warning label on Trump's tweet, which read: "Official sources called this election differently," and included links to articles projecting Biden as the President-Elect.

A number of Twitter users then took to the comments to mock Trump's tweet.

This statement appears to contradict another tweet made by Trump the day before on November 15, in which he appeared to partially acknowledge Biden's win for the first time.

Trump tweeted:

"[Biden] won because the Election was Rigged. NO VOTE WATCHERS OR OBSERVERS allowed, vote tabulated by a Radical Left privately owned company, Dominion, with a bad reputation & bum equipment that couldn’t even qualify for Texas (which I won by a lot!), the Fake & Silent Media, & more! [sic]"

Per Sky News, Trump has also made statements suggesting that he might not longer be in the White House next year.

In a discussion regarding the American government's COVID vaccine program at the White House Rose Garden, Trump stated per ITV News: "Ideally we won't go to a lockdown, I will not go, this administration will not be going to a lockdown, hopefully."

He added: "Whatever happens in the future who knows… which administration will be... I guess time will tell but I can tell you this administration won't go into lockdown."
