After digging through her granddad's old photos, a woman is convinced that she has found a time traveler.
Time travel is a concept that humans are obsessed with, whether it be in literature, films, or TV shows.
TikTok content creator Josie Weaver, known online as @cricketbbyweave, is known for sharing her grandpa's old film from the 1960s.
Surprisingly, the snaps are ultra-clear, thanks to the use of film, which captures light chemically rather than through a digital grid.
The photos, which are clear as day, show some of his many trips throughout the mid-20th century, with one collection of images showing off his trip to Disneyland in the 1960s.
Weaver claims that she has spotted a 'time traveler' among these snaps, and that he can be seen front and center in one of the pictures.
Speaking to People, Weaver, 30, explained that she had lunch at her grandparents' regularly, and on one of the trips, Grandpa Tom Eubank asked for help selling his old Canon camera.
The TikTok creator's interest piqued, and the pair found the film and a projector to go through his collection of images from over the years.
Eubank told the publication that he first got the camera in 1963 while aboard a Navy ship, keeping the device throughout his deployment, capturing snaps on an Alps ski trip and a venture across the Western US, among other adventures.
In a photo from New Orleans Square, a man can be seen in modern-looking clothing, despite it being taken in the 60s.
Weaver told the publication: “That was so funny because the picture popped up and he was like front and center,
“And it just looked like someone that we would see out and about now.”
She added: “And he looked so different. To me, he looked so different to everyone around him, especially with his haircut — it was like faded on the side.”
Weaver uploaded the original viral video on August 25, garnering over 2.5 million views and 249,000 likes.
While many agreed that he looked out of place, Weaver suggested that he may have been 'European' or 'ahead of the times'.
Millions of TikTok viewers were enamored by the authentic pictures of Disneyland, which had only opened 13 years prior, as well as the supposed time traveler.
One wrote: "And that body build seems modern too," with another saying: "Also men's accessory bags or 'purses' were not even created until the 70’s," referring to his bag.
A third added: "Doesn’t look like a 60s shirt, glasses OR haircut."
However, a certain viewer claimed: "As a vintage fashion enthusiast, I could see why you would say that, but it’s definitely just a basic casual look for the time. And for his haircut, that was a popular cut as well! I just looked up the specific haircut; it’s called a Caesar cut."
A different user penned: "He’s perfectly in place; people just still dress like that because it’s a pretty basic and nice outfit!"
Some suggested that he is holding a 60's camera bag, while Weaver debunked her own claims of Ray-Bans not being around at the time, having been founded in the 1930s.
