Over the weekend, members of the British Royal family came together to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

There was an array of pageants and events put on across the UK to mark 70 years since Queen Elizabeth II acceded to the throne, with millions taking part to celebrate Her Majesty's record reign.

But while the celebrations were put on in honor of the Queen, for many viewers, it was her cheeky great-grandson Prince Louis who stole the show.

The young Royal - who is Kate Middleton and Prince William's third child and fifth in line to the throne - first made headlines when he watched the Trooping the Colour with his parents and was caught on camera making grumpy facial expressions.

A few days later on Saturday (June 4), the young prince was once again spotted pulling faces in the Royal box at a pageant in Cardiff, Wales.

In a series of hilarious photos, Prine Louis can be seen covering his face with both hands, sucking his thumb, and poking his tongue out at his mom the Duchess of Cambridge.

He later pointed at performers in the street carnival, before swapping his own seat for a spot on his grandfather Prince Charles' lap.

While many people were entertained by the young prince's sweet reactions to the celebrations, others were less impressed. Several media outlets described Louis as badly behaved in comparison to his elder brother and sister, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

However, viewers leaped to his defense on social media, taking to Twitter to point out that - while he may be fifth in line for the throne - he is still only 4 years old.

"He's 4 years old. He wasn't being naughty or grumpy- he was being 4!" one person tweeted. Another agreed, writing: "Erm he's 4 and is just being a kid. Try being sat still ages as a kid, they get tired, irritated, distracted because they want to have fun and do their own thing!"

"I think he's 4 years old, probably missed his nap time, overwhelmed by all the sound and fuss, and is acting like it. You had kids; you should remember how that goes. No matter who his parents are, he's still just a kid," echoed a third.

Prince Louis, keep being your cheeky self! The public loves to see it!
