A 35-year-old mother and former member of the Israeli military chased down a flasher who exposed himself to her twice during her morning run.

The 6ft 1 mother-of-two later said: "I'm not the victim to go after."

The incident took place when the woman, identified only as Aia, was jogging down Memorial Drive in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at around 7 am.

While jogging, the man not only exposed himself to her twice but reached out to grab her, prompting the mother to personally attempt to apprehend him.

Unfortunately, after successfully chasing and taking down the flasher, he escaped. At the time, Aia shouted for passersby and fellow joggers to call 911.

According to the Metro, Aia said of the incident: "I was not ready to see his little d*** … [If] I'm not going to chase him, he's going to scare some girl and get her all the way down and then what? No."

"He picked the wrong victim," she told Patch. "All I want is for women to stand up for themselves and for passersby to get involved."

The police subsequently issued a statement advising against tackling criminals, but acknowledged that Aia's situation was unique.

In an interview with Patch, state police trooper James DeAngelis said: "She reacted in the blink of an eye what she felt was the best form of action. Good for her. I think she put the fear of God in the guy."

The video above was released by local police in an attempt to identify the flasher.
