This is Greta Thunberg - but as you've never seen her before!

Over the weekend, the 18-year-old activist made an appearance at a Climate Live concert in Stockholm, Sweden. As reported by Indy100, the event was being held in an effort to "unite people and reach the majority who aren’t currently engaged in the [climate] crisis."

Taking to the stage with a microphone in hand, the teen looked to be preparing to deliver yet another profound and crucial message to the crowd. Raising the mic to her mouth, Thunberg said the words: "We’re no strangers to love".

Now, if those words sound familiar, that's because they are the opening lyrics to Rick Astley's 1987 hit 'Never Gonna Give You Up' - which has since become an anthem for trolling as part of the internet's long-standing 'Rick Roll' trend.

As the crowd started cheering, another activist joined Greta on-stage and finished the line by saying: "...You know the rules and so do I."

Then, out of nowhere, Astley's track starts blaring out of the speakers - as Thunberg can be seen smiling, dancing, and singing along to the hit.

Check out the remarkable video and watch Thunberg bust a move in the video below:

I won't lie - the video is INCREDIBLE, and gives people the chance to see a side of Thunberg we seldom see in the media. She even does Rick Astley's iconic shuffle from the original music video!

After being posted on the Climate Live 2021's TikTok page, people were quick to comment about how nice it is to see Thunberg having fun.

One person commented: "This gives off the same energy as seeing a different side to [your] teachers at year 11 prom".

"Greta gets unnecessary hate she's awesome," commented a second.

And a third person commented: "Stop this is so cute I had never seen Greta being silly and happy."

Speaking to the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet following her impressive performance, Thunberg said: "At the end of the day, we are just teenagers fooling around with each other, not just the angry kids the media often portrays us as."

Here's some more angles of the performance - because it's what we all deserve:

Of course, this is not the first time Thunberg has delivered a good troll.

On April Fool's Day earlier this year, the cunning Thunberg wrote to her supporters: "I made a video where I talk about some small things we ALL can and should do to stop the climate crisis.

"We are in this together, and everyone is needed. YOU get to decide what future you’ll live in. So please watch, share and start doing your part today!"

However, rather than the video sending her followers to an impassioned speech about climate change, it led to - you guessed it - the YouTube video for Rick Astley's 1987 hit 'Never Gonna Give You Up'.
