Let's be honest here, no one actually likes flying. While some people may be impartial toward the experience, no one actively gets some form of enjoyment out of climbing aboard and extremely heavy tube and floating off into the air. On top of this, there is a multitude of external factors that can lead to you having an awful experience of flying, including the following story.
If you've ever flown, you will know all about nightmare passengers. Whether it's the guy who is man-spreading in the seat next to you, or the baby who is incessantly kicking your chair, they can come in all different forms. However, while that group of 20-somethings wrestling down the aisle and spilling vodka on themselves may have seemed like a nightmare at the time, they don't have a patch on this guy.
According to reports, a passenger on a flight from Malaysia has been arrested after he decided to get naked, load up a bit of porn and lie back and masturbate.
However, the 20-year-old Bangladeshi student at a Malaysian university wasn't done there. After cracking one out on the plane, he then went off to the toilet with no clothes on, urinated all over his seat and had a fight with a flight attendant.
Of course, everyone is equipped with camera phones these days and duly, photos of the man have been circulating online on social media.
According to another passenger on the plane, the man started behaving aggressively towards cabin crew after they asked him to put his clothes on. The attack came after he had tried to hug a female member of staff while on his way to the toilet.
"The cabin crew approached him and politely asked him to put on his clothes," the witness told the Sun Daily. "He complied with their request. A short while later there was some commotion at the toilet area and it turned out that he was harassing a stewardess."
The man was acting in such a manner that cabin crew and passengers had no choice but the physically restrain him. Despite his resistance, staff eventually tied his hands together with a piece of cloth and he was arrested once the plane landed in Dhaka.
Malindo Air, the airline that was running the service in which the incident occurred, confirmed that it was aware of a disruptive passenger on board the flight.
"The crew on board has followed the standard operating procedure in restraining the passenger from causing further disruption onboard the flight.
"The disruptive passenger was accompanied by Dhaka security team upon arrival and he has been put to jail by the authorities there.
"The airline will continue to stay vigilant to ensure passengers travel soundly."
The reason behind the man's behaviour is not yet known. But, no matter what the motives behind the act, it certainly makes that screaming baby seem much more tolerable.

For many people, flying can be an absolute nightmare. Some people may just struggle to be on a cramped plane for more than seven hours, and others may be so terrified of heights that even the shortest journeys can leave them stricken with anxiety.
However, for most people, flying is a huge pain in the ass because of one thing: fellow passengers. You really don't know how inconsiderate or gross somebody can be until you're sat next to them on a long-haul flight.
Don't believe me? Well, let's use Comedian Andy Richter's flight as an example, who felt so outraged by his fellow passenger's actions that he decided to share his experience with his 1.1 million Twitter followers.
Amazingly, this isn't the first time somebody has been caught on camera being so disgusting:
[[jwplayerwidget||https://content.jwplatform.com/videos/QMUeVVQl-dkXnENEs.mp4||QMUeVVQl]]
The comedian started by saying the following in a tweet:
"So I snitched this f***er out to the flight attendant, who told him to put them down. Puts them back a few minutes later & I asked him to put them down. 'They’re your bare feet, man.'
"He was shocked & put them down. When he just put them back up I decided f**k it, I’m tweeting [sic]"
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/AndyRichter/status/1163254074650824704]]
As you can see from the images, Andy's comments were absolutely warranted, because that is some nasty plane decorum. However, Andy's experience with this particular passenger didn't end there. Taking to Twitter just moments later, the comedian tweeted:
"The flight attendant came back right before we got off and asked him to take them down again. Guy did and asked 'is that like a just-when-taxiing thing?'
"Attendant: 'no, it’s a basic airplane courtesy thing.' Guy seemed surprised to hear that [sic]"
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/AndyRichter/status/1163265189279600641]]
Andy then revealed that the man's actions had left the entertainment screen covered in toe smudges:
"We had to get off the plane because of lightning and there were dirty toes smudges where his feet were. I am not exaggerating. You could see the outline of his big toe, etc."

This woman was told to cover up for her "inappropriate" plane attire:

Needless to say, people flooded to Twitter to react to the images, and you better believe most people were grossed out by what they were seeing:

However, in amongst all the disgust, one Twitter user noticed the man's dog was in the footwell - and even the dog didn't look impressed by his owner's actions:

In the wake of the recent #MeToo and #TimesUp movements, the discussion surrounding issues of sexual assault and inappropriate behaviour has become noticeably more open than it ever has been before. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean that people have got better at dealing with such issues when they arise, and indeed - in some cases - sexual offences are still considered to be no more than a joke.
Genevieve Pascolla, a 26-year-old photographer from Chicago, experienced this first-hand while on a flight home from London last month.
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BkRBz3GlfX2/?taken-by=genevieve.f.p]]
"On June 4th I was on a #unitedairlines flight from Heathrow to Chicago," Pascolla wrote in an Instagram post.
"On this flight the man next to me started masturbating I woke up and saw him touching himself under a blanket. I woke the woman next to me and got out of there to tell a flight attendant the attendants checked and confirmed that he was masturbating in public.
"Once I got up the woman next to me saw and she also got up. They gave us new seats."
This incident alone was upsetting enough, but what followed somehow made the situation even worse. Unbelievably, instead of comforting Pascolla and the other woman, the flight attendants laughed about it.
"[The cabin crew] then started making jokes about the situation asking 'what perfume are you wearing' and excusing him saying 'he’s had a bit of wine' no one stopped him," she said, adding that "he was allowed to finish, with a child sitting closely by."
At the time, Pascolla was apparently only offered one form of consolation: an apology from the man.
"After exiting the plane first to talk to security the security guard asked me if I’d like an apology from the offender," she explained. "I immediately rejected the request."
Not content with the course of (in)action taken by United, the photographer decided to email a formal complaint to the airline. What she received by way of response, however, was just as lacklustre as the cabin crew's original response.
"Unfortunately, we are unable to honor your request for a refund of your travel from London to Chicago or offer goodwill compensation," the reply stated.
"Again, I apologize for the uncomfortable situation you experienced.
"I appreciate that you chose United for your travel. We hope your next trip with us will be a more positive experience."
"It took @unitedairlines a month an a half to respond to my complaint," Pascolla wrote. "And I received this email today. I am appalled at the lack of action taken in this situation in which as a woman, I was terrified. This man is clearly capable of much more."
The 26-year-old is making sure to get her story out there as a warning to others who might be considering flying with United.
"Women and men out there pick an airline that cares about your safety. #unitedairlines referring to being assaulted on one of your flight as an 'uncomfortable experience' is a bit of an understatement. (See email) your lack of action is disgusting."
United has yet to comment further on the matter, but it is obvious that they should have taken more immediate action in this situation.

Last week footage of an orgy in a hotel room went viral on Chinese social media. (There's a sentence you don't get to write every day!) The videos were posted on the popular Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, and although China has tried to scrub it from the Internet, it's like playing whack-a-mole. You shut down one upload, another one pops up.
Speaking of popping up, the orgy. According to The Shanghaist, the videos show at least six naked men and women dancing, grinding, laughing and basically living life to the fullest. Allegedly, the people involved are flight attendants for China Eastern Airlines. (Well, I know what airline I'm flying from now on.) Rumors say it took place at a hotel in Madrid. I know it's disappointing this orgy didn't happen on an airplane, because it would bring a whole new meaning to the word 'cockpit.'
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/letao01/status/974183161507622912]]
In a written statement, China Eastern Airlines denies that the people in the video are employees. They suggest that the video was shot in Africa, and produced by someone deliberately trying to damage their reputation. (What? Seems like it would only improve their reputation to me.) I don't know what airline would go to the trouble to throw an orgy just to smear a competitor, but if that's the case, that is some pretty creative marketing.
China has been censoring every mention of this incident on the Internet, so if you are reading this article, you are probably not in China. The website FreeWeibo monitors and distributes content that has been censored by Chinese authorities. The most censored term at the moment is "Eastern airlines 6p," followed by "Eastern Airlines" and "China Eastern." (I assume "orgy" was already censored.) But that's not all - China has also blocked the terms "migration" and "boarding a plane." That's pretty extreme. There are 376 million Weibo users. Will all references to airplanes on the Internet be censored for them?
China desperately wants to wipe this incident from our memories, but ironically their efforts have just given the story more publicity. It's a good example of The Streisand Effect, "the phenomenon whereby an attempt to hide, remove, or censor a piece of information has the unintended consequence of publicizing the information more widely." It's named after the singer Barbara Streisand, who tried to suppress photos of her house in Malibu in 2003. Instead, she ending up drawing more attention to it.
But you know what? I support this flight attendant orgy. China recently started giving citizens 'reputation ratings,' making a nightmarish Black Mirror episode a reality. Can you blame them for wanting to cut loose? I mean, the government's censorship is so extreme that last month they blocked Weibo users from saying "I disagree." Reportedly they did this because of the Communist Party's proposal to let President Xi Jinping rule more than two terms. Sometimes you just have to rebel.

In the latest episode of sky-high shenanigans, a passenger was left astounded after enduring the sight of two amorous travelers engaging in a marathon cuddle session throughout an entire four-hour flight.
Now, sometimes flying can be an incredibly uncomfortable and nauseating experience. And, sometimes, watching a loved-up couple's PDA can be an incredibly uncomfortable and nauseating experience.
Well, this is what happens when those two collide at 35,000 feet.
The jaw-dropping incident was captured by X user Flea (@babyibeenajoint), who quickly garnered a whopping 21 million views after sharing photos of his "in-flight show" to the social media platform.
Sharing the eye-popping snapshots, user Flea recounted the surreal experience, expressing disbelief at the spectacle unfolding before his eyes. "Can't believe my view on the plane," he wrote. "It was like this the whole 4 hour flight."
The images depict the unidentified couple entwined in affectionate embraces, sprawled across a row of seats reminiscent of a cozy love nest. To the dismay of onlookers, one of the cuddle enthusiasts even dared to prop her BARE FOOT up on the tray table, elevating the in-flight intimacy to unprecedented heights.
The images soon sparked a flurry of reactions from appalled viewers, as - unsurprisingly - the X community was quick to voice their disapproval of the airborne display of affection.
One person asked: "How did the flight attendant not say anything???"
A second X user pointed out: "Imagine being in front of them and wondering why it smell like hot feet."
"This why I’m never flying economy. Ain’t no time to watch this BS," a third social media user wrote.
Another added: "I hated these types of couples in high school, all in the hall slowing you down."
Others were so astounded that they were convinced the images had to be AI-generated -- but while Flea is yet to respond to these allegations, others were quick to point out that the level of detail was far to high and consistent to be AI.
Per the New York Post, etiquette experts have weighed in on the matter, emphasizing the importance of maintaining proper boundaries during air travel.
According to US etiquette expert Elaine Swann, engaging in overtly intimate behavior crosses the line of good manners, warranting intervention from airline staff. "Once you get to the point where you’re tonguing your partner down, you’ve crossed the line of good manners," Swann told travel blog The Points Guy.
Patricia Napier-Fitzpatrick, founder of the Etiquette School of New York, echoed this sentiment, advising passengers to alert flight attendants rather than attempting to address the situation themselves.
"It's best to let a person of authority handle an issue like this, rather than trying to handle it yourself," Napier-Fitzpatrick said. "I would have the flight attendant ask the parties involved to maintain the proper decorum while they are on the airplane."
Pass me the barf bag.
