A woman arrested for having sex outside a hospital building has decided to leave her face mask on for her mugshot picture.

Forty-five-year-old Florida native Ann Marie Tucker was arrested earlier this month, and charged with trespassing and indecent exposure, after she was caught copulating in public with her partner Albert Singletary, a mere day after the first case of coronavirus was reported in the state of Florida.

According to a report by WKMG News 6 & ClickOrlando, the genitals of both Tucker and Singletary were allegedly on full display to the public as they engaged in full intercourse just across from St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg.

After being arrested, Tucker's mugshot showed her - rather ironically - wearing a white face mask around her neck, pulled down so that her face could be seen for the camera.

According to jail records, she later pled guilty to both counts, and was released on March 10. Her criminal record shows that she was arrested previously on prostitution and drug possession charges.

The World Health Organisation has declared COVID-19 pandemic, prompting many people around the world to begin self-isolating to avoid putting a strain on hospitals.

In a statement, WHO wrote that they had been: "Assessing this outbreak around the clock, and we are deeply concerned both by the alarming levels of spread and severity, and by the alarming levels of inaction. We have therefore made the assessment that COVID-19 can be characterized as a pandemic."

At the time of writing, there have now been 222,643 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across 114 countries worldwide, and a total of 9,115 deaths, according to John Hopkins University.
