A woman has claimed on social media that she was removed from a flight for drinking a mimosa at the airport bar.

The passenger named Kandace H - who goes by the handle @Kandace H - shared her experience on TikTok under a video with the caption: "SPREAD THE WORD! @alaskaair THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!! I AM LIVID!!! The flight attendants on flight #714 from Portland to Vegas need to be fired!!"

In the clip, she said that she was waiting for her flight from Portland, Oregon, back home to Las Vegas when she stopped to get a mimosa at the airport terminal bar.

Kandace explained that she had only had one and a half mimosas with her colleagues at the airport before boarding their respective flights.

Upon boarding, the TikToker said a flight attendant came up to her and said, "Excuse me, ma’am," so Kandace assumed that the woman was going to tell her to put her backpack underneath the seat.

Instead, Kandace claimed the employee informed her that she had to get off the plane, adding: "I asked her like four times: 'Are you kidding me?'"

She revealed in the video that the deplaning had come after she went to use the toilet ahead of take-off. Having never used the in-flight restroom before, she asked a member of the cabin crew how to lock the door and turn the light on.

"I go in the bathroom, the light didn’t come on," the TikToker continued. So she asked the attendant for assistance again. She also disclosed that she was on the phone with her coworkers during the ordeal.

After spending nearly 10 minutes in the bathroom, Kandace came back from the lavatory to find the worker waiting for her and repeatedly asking if she was OK.

The gate agent then reportedly told Kandace that the flight attendant alleged that she was "slurring her words" and whispered, "I’m drunk, shhh".

"I don’t have a problem with saying that I had a drink, but I’m not belligerent, I’m not drunk," she told her followers. "I literally thought it was a joke." She concluded the video by saying that she was "p***ed".

The clip amassed 1 million views, with several people also expressing their outrage. One user wrote: "I get on planes all the time tipsy! As long as you aren't causing a disturbance, you shouldn't have been escorted off."

In the end, Kandace was forced to wait until 10 PM to fly home and wouldn’t land until midnight.

According to a follow-up video she posted, the TikToker revealed that several passengers around her tried to vouch for her sobriety and questioned why she was removed from the plane.
