A woman found out that her ex had been cheating as he was proposing to her.

Taking to TikTok, a woman named Tiffany Lyn opened up about a traumatic experience with her ex that saw her needing thousands and thousands of dollars of therapy after it happened.

Tiffany was head-over-heels for her ex, CJ, and when he was finally proposing to her after two years of being together, she was over the moon.

Little did she know, just as he was set to get down on one knee and pop the big question, she would discover that he hadn't been entirely faithful to her.

Recalling the story to her TikTok followers, she said: "I found out my fiance was cheating on me right in the middle of his proposal to me, like literally as he was proposing."

"One day he decided to surprise me [and] took me to Orlando for a little bit of fun at the amusement parks..." she continued before explaining that her ex voluntarily participated in Fear Factor Live - a competition that tests people on their mental and physical strength in front of a live audience at Universal Studios.

Approximately halfway through the show, he publicly asked Tiffany if she would marry him, but as she was holding his phone and recording his declaration, she saw a text come in that read: "Fine, go ahead and marry her. She’s the safe choice for you," which was then followed by a less than flattering critique of his most recent sexual performance.

Big yikes.

Of course, the TikToker was devastated to find out that her other half had been cheating on her the entire time they were together.

Upon hearing the story, thousands of other social media users took to the comments to express their opinions on the matter.

"I would’ve publicly embarrassed him," wrote one user, to which Tiffany replied: "Totally understand but that just would have brought more humiliation to myself. I’m not going down with him!"

"Ur so mature for not exposing him in front of everyone bc I would," another added.

A third pointed out an interesting point saying: "I truly believe most public proposals are secretly manipulative strategies to get the other person to agree."

Speaking to the New York Post in an interview, she explained: "The best moment of my life turned into the worst moment of my life."

"It’s taken me 10 years and about $10,000 in therapy to finally be able to talk about it," she told the outlet. "I’m telling my story now because I want to help others who might find themselves in a similar situation."

Unfortunately, the New Yorker's story isn't uncommon, with multiple other women on the video-sharing platform also sharing the news of the cheating partners.

Another woman also took to TikTok to expose her boyfriend after discovering that he was cheating on her using Google Maps - that's right, Google Maps.

Taking to TikTok in September, Juliana Lima, AKA @julianalima.julie from Ceará in Brazil, recalled a devastating experience in which she found out her boyfriend was being unfaithful to her thanks to a Google car going past her home while taking photos for its Street View feature.

She found herself compelled to go straight to the service in order to check what image it had snapped up, however, she soon realized that she'd caught her man red-handed.

The broken-hearted girlfriend then said that she ended up losing sight of her man’s motorcycle on Google’s Street View and instead, started looking around the little side streets to see if she could spot him and his alleged side piece.

She then told her followers that he took this other woman to a street where he used to take her, saying that it was a little square that they always visited.

The video ends with a still of the man in question resting his head on another woman's lap and let's just say, the woman doesn't look too pleased that she's been caught out.

But then the story takes a twist when Lima reveals that the woman in question was actually her best friend.

Big, fat yikes.
