The woman who thinks she could be the missing Madeleine McCann has allegedly revealed that she "overheard" her mom admit that she "took her."
A private investigator claimed that 21-year-old Polish woman Julia Wendell overheard her mom reveal the big secret, according to a new report by The Sun.
Dr. Fia Johansson, who is helping Julia in her bid to find answers about her life, recently spoke to the outlet, alleging that Julia heard her mom say that she "took her."
She said: "What we found after some digging into this is that she overheard her mom saying something along the lines of 'I don't know why we have this girl, she has always been a troublemaker since we took her'."
"Since then she started to question what was going on and whether her parents were her true parents."
She went on to explain that Julia had also "found" a picture of the man she claims abused her as a child - a German man who bears a similar resemblance to one of the suspects in the McCann case.
"And when she looked into it the picture looked like the same man as one of the suspects in the Madeleine McCann case," she explained. "It very much concerned her and she wondered why her family would keep this picture and how he was connected to them."
This just adds to the narrative that Julia is trying to build, claiming that she is Madeleine McCann, the British girl that went missing back in 2007 while on vacation with her family in Praia da Luz, Portugal.
Though there have been millions of dollars poured into trying to find to find the young girl, she still remains missing, unfortunately.
But is that all about to change?
Julia has made some bold claims over the past few weeks, stating that she has specific features that link her to Maddie including a "speck" on her eye. She also claimed that she doesn't remember large chunks of her childhood.
Dr. Johansson is in the process of trying to get Julia's family to agree to a DNA test, although she says they have so far refused.
Instead, they released a statement via the Polish missing person organization, Missing Years Ago on behalf of the family family.
In the post, they said they had "memories" and "pictures" making it "obvious that Julia is our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and step-niece."
"Julia also has these photos, because she took them from the family home with the birth certificate, as well as numerous hospital discharges," they continued, before adding that they "always tried to understand all situations that happened with Julia."
"Numerous therapies, medicines, psychologists, and psychiatrists - Julia had it all guaranteed. She wasn't left alone. Threats to our address from Julia, her lies and manipulations, activity on the internet. We've seen it all and we've tried to prevent it, to explain, we've asked her to stop," they continued.
"We always tried to help her get back on her feet. Julia has been of age for several years. She has moved out of the house. She refuses treatment, doesn't take medicines regularly," the family reportedly penned. "Julia once wanted to be a singer, a model. She always wanted to be popular.
"What's happening now she got one million followers. We're afraid Julia will carry the inevitable. The internet won't forget, and it's obvious that Julia isn't Maddie," they concluded.
"We are devastated at this current situation."
