A woman who suffered a horrific accident in Bali has had over $100,000 raised for her after she was mysteriously found beyond recognition.

Rebecca Ode, an Australian woman and former Seaworld employee, is fighting for her life after a mysterious accident in Bali left her with catastrophic injuries.

Ode, who has been residing in Bali since January, was found unconscious in Nusa Lembongan around 9:00PM on Monday.

Jesse Wilton, her brother-in-law, spoke to News.com.au about the situation, describing Ode’s condition as “in a very bad way.”

“No one knows what happened to her,” Wilton said. “We have no idea how the injury happened … there was no alcohol … and the extent of her injuries is quite traumatic.”

Rushed to Ngoerah General Hospital, Ode, 36, underwent multiple surgeries for brain, eye, and facial reconstruction. Wilton revealed that Ode’s injuries are so severe that she will lose at least one eye and that her facial structure will never be the same.

“She has hemorrhaging on the brain and has a fractured cheek and jaw almost beyond repair,” he detailed. “She will lose one eye if not two and has titanium plates in her collar bones.”

In response to the mounting medical bills, Wilton has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for her treatment and potential medivac to Australia.

At the time of writing, the page has gained AU$168,000 ($113,000).

The goal is to cover the $140,000 needed for medical evacuation and the nearly $70,000 in hospital bills accrued since the incident.

The page reads: "Rebecca Ode, 36, a strong and caring, daughter, aunty and friend, urgently needs to be medically evacuated home from Bali for ongoing treatment.

"After a terrible accident in Bali, Bec has been rushed to Ngoerah general hospital for brain, eye and reconstructive surgery.

"Critical, but stable Bec needs the best health care possible as soon as possible which means bringing her home. As you can imagine, there are bills over $50,000 for the first few days, we are asking for your help to help her family to get her back to Australia."

The fundraising page continues: "Bec is currently having surgery. But, the biggest concerns are for the brain haemorrhage that she suffered and that she is expected to lose her sight or lose an eye and her face won’t be the same after reconstructive and plastic surgery.

"Bec’s family are by her side in Bali and while her recovery journey is unknown we know Bec will continue fighting her best fight with her strong will and determination."

Friends and family have flooded social media with messages of support for Ode, affectionately known as “beautiful Becci.”

“My heart is breaking for you all… Can’t stop thinking of our beautiful girl,” one friend shared.

Another added: “My heart breaks reading this! I am sending all my love and prayers for Bec!”
