Shocking video footage seemingly showing a grown man choking one boy and throwing another down a half pipe has emerged, amid reports that he did so to defend his son against bullies.
The video, which was uploaded to Facebook, where it went viral, was recorded in New South Wales, Australia, last Sunday. A group of 12-year-olds were playing in a park in Goonellabah skate park when the man attacked, and local police believe that the man had initially come to the park with his own son.
This comes from 10daily, where the police also confirmed they were conducting an investigation against the man in the video, according to a statement from New South Wales Police.
"Police have been told a group of 12-year-old boys were at a skate park in Goonellabah when they started to verbally abuse and threaten another 12-year-old boy. The man allegedly assaulted one of the youths and threw his scooter. Officers from Richmond Police District were notified and commenced an investigation."
Uploading the horrifying video to their Facebook page, North Coast Crime asked for more information regarding the man in question. "If the adult in the video or anyone who knows him reads this, can you please send me a private message?" commented North Coast Crime.
It is not known what sparked the incident depicted in the video. Officers from Richmond Police District are urging anyone with information to come forward.
