Iranian state TV aired a threatening video targeting President Donald Trump’s 20-year-old son, Barron Trump, and suggested people were waiting to collect a $10 million reward.
The nearly three-minute segment was aired over the weekend by Iranian broadcaster IRIB, a state media outlet seen as aligned with hardliners in the Iranian regime.
The head of the broadcaster is directly appointed by Iran’s supreme leader.
The video, which was also circulated by media networks affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), begins with an English-language graphic reading: "Where to kill Barron Trump?!"
It then uses computer-generated graphics and stylized maps to highlight locations where Barron is publicly known to spend time, including Trump Tower in New York.
The segment also showed the surroundings of New York University, theoretical vantage points, and the positions of Secret Service agents assigned to Barron’s protection.
The broadcast also made claims about Barron’s digital habits, alleging that analysts had accessed his online gaming accounts and private communications on platforms including Xbox.
Towards the end of the video, the narrator suggested people were 'eagerly waiting to receive our $10 million reward'.
The segment then concluded with an even more direct warning: "This is just the beginning. Barron Trump, wait for us."
The video appears to mark the first time Barron has been singled out publicly in a broader campaign of threatening content from hardline Iranian media targeting Trump and his family.
"The US Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees," Secret Service spokesperson Nate Herring told CNN in a statement.
“Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence.”
A federal law enforcement source told the outlet the video is part of an Iranian campaign targeting Trump and his family, with some videos including movement details and suggestions for killing members of the president’s family.
The source said protective operations are constantly moved based on security information from the Secret Service, other agencies, police, and foreign governments.
The latest video follows previous threats directed at Melania Trump.
State-linked media previously published a video titled 'Where to Kill Melania?', which mapped out the first lady’s movements around luxury retail locations in Manhattan.
State-sponsored propaganda billboards depicting members of the Trump family over flag-draped coffins have also been displayed in Tehran’s public squares.
Hardline Iranian media have repeatedly run threatening content targeting Trump and his family following the assassination of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several members of his family at the start of the US-Israeli war with Iran in February.
During funeral events for Khamenei in July, regime loyalists were also seen carrying posters bearing the words 'Kill Trump' and offering a bounty to whoever avenged his death.
The US government has warned for years that Iran could target Trump in retaliation for the 2020 US drone strike that killed Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani.
President Trump addressed the threats publicly in July, saying: “I’m on whatever list… so far, I guess I’ve been a bit lucky, but maybe that doesn’t last very long. These are evil, sick people.”
He made the comments at the NATO summit in Turkey before leaving aboard an alternate military aircraft as part of a security operation prompted by an Iranian threat.
An insider told CNN the threat involved a shoulder-fired missile and was enough for officials to fear the 80-year-old president would face enormous risk if he flew either version of Air Force One.
