A man who tragically killed his teenage friend after putting an air hose up his anus has given a shocking explanation for why he did it.
Habip Aksoy, 20, is currently on trial over the death of 15-year-old Muhammed Kendirci, who spent five days fighting for his life after air from a compressor was injected into his body at a carpentry workshop in Bozova, Turkey.
The teen was pronounced dead on November 19, 2025.
According to the indictment, obtained by The Sun, Kendirci's abdomen swelled after the incident, which took place on November 14, 2025, and he began vomiting.
Medical teams were dispatched to the scene at the time, and the teen was taken to Bozova Mehmet Enver Yıldırım State Hospital, Milliyet stated.
The victim was then transferred to Balıklıgöl State Hospital, before being moved to Harran University Research and Application Hospital.
A video recorded before the horrific event showed Aksoy and Kendirci dancing together inside the workshop.
An unidentified friend was then seen grabbing the teenager's hands before his trousers were forcibly pulled down.
Aksoy reportedly released the footage to show that he and Muhammed were friends and that the fatal incident was a joke that went disastrously wrong.
The 20-year-old claimed in court that the deadly incident had begun while he was trying to remove dust from the teen's clothes.
"He was covered in dust. It happened while I was trying to clean it off," he said. "We were joking around at the time. I did not intend to kill him. I regret it."
Aksoy is being prosecuted for "manslaughter with the possible intent against a child" and could possibly spend the rest of his life in jail.
Prosecutor Tugay Bek said the man should have "foreseen that the air tube used as the murder weapon would cause death".
"There are no other workers, foremen, or anyone else working in the workshop. There is only an employer and five employees," he continued. "These children do all the work in the workshop. It appears that they did not receive any training on occupational health and safety."
Kendirci's funeral was held at the Bozova Asri Cemetery, as per PEOPLE.
The victim's mother, Nebihe Kendirci, attended the court hearing alongside relatives and lawyers.
She spoke before the proceedings, rejecting claims that her son’s death was a joke or an accident.
"We are pursuing justice so that those who took our child from us with a death machine operating at 12 bar receive the punishment they deserve," she said. "We call on everyone who cares, children’s rights defenders and everyone who believes in justice to join our call."
"Do not remain silent. We will not stop until justice is served," she added.
Suat Özçağdaş, who is a member of the Turkish parliament, commented on the incident on social media last November.
He wrote on X that Kendirci was "tortured while working as an apprentice in a carpentry workshop," and said the teen should have been at school instead.
"The prosecutor's office initially stated that the incident was a joke, not torture," Özçağdaş penned. "Having struggled to hold on to life for five days, Muhammed tragically passed away today."
