‘Spicy’ cruise worker shows grim reality of mattresses inside ‘adults-only’ party room where clothing is optional

An intimacy coach working on a spicy cruise has shared what one of the adults-only spaces looks like on board.
Kate Shelor, a hypnotherapist, is known for sharing content about being on a temptation cruise, but one of her videos went viral back in 2024 for showing the realities of the experience.
It's fair to say that more of these 18+ cruises are popping up, as more adults in open relationships look for safe spaces to explore new avenues.

She has previously shared what the 'red room' looks like on board, which is where couples take part in hypnosis exercises that lead to a massive group sex session, run by Shelor.

The intimacy coach's TikTok garnered millions of views on the platform, as she gave viewers a glimpse into the spicy cruise.
In the video, several mattresses are seen placed next to each other in a large space.
Her caption read: “The ADULT CRUISE is about to get WILD.”
Shelor was on that particular cruise to lead a subconscious sex seminar with 40 couples, who each had their own mattress in the red room.
She got couples to close their eyes and carry out hypnosis exercises to get them out of their heads, as she explained: “It’s a whole room of people having sex with their partners together at the same time.”
The red room is one of the most mysterious areas on adult cruise ships, with phones and cameras prohibited.
Staff members also monitor the entrance to maintain privacy, with access usually limited to couples unless single guests are invited by a couple.
The Las Vegas-based sex expert opened up more on what it's like on board, explaining: “A lot of people decorate their doors, putting pictures of themselves along with their Instagram handles.
"They’ll leave a notebook and a pen nearby so passers-by can leave any notes or their contact info.”
Shelor reveals more about the red room
Speaking to LADbible, Shelor explained: “They bring all their own people, and they will choose a large space on the cruise ship for this, and they bring in brand new mattresses,
“You'll see them loaded onto the ship as you're boarding. As well as tonnes of clean sheets.”
“They will make this room up every night with tonnes of mattresses on the floor, plastic covers, and then sheets on top. There's towels and water. It looks sexy with sexy lighting,” she said about the room being transformed.
The temptation cruise had tickets ranging from $2150 to $30,000, and in 2026, there are many more options to choose from.
