Most people expect to be the main attraction at their own wedding... especially during their first dance.
But one newlywed couple was happy to let their beloved pet steal the spotlight.
Steph Dunn and her new husband have melted hearts on TikTok with an adorable video from their wedding, in which their golden retriever, named Bear, can be seen getting very involved in the occasion.
The happy couple can be seen slow dancing to the Ed Sheeran song 'Thinking Out Loud'. But this isn't an ordinary wedding dance - as Bear is sandwiched between them, with his head resting on Steph's shoulder.
The golden retriever's owners shower him with kisses, which he returns by giving them the occasional lick on the cheek. The audience can be heard 'awwing' at the sweet scene.
And it wasn't just the wedding guests who were won over by Bear.
Steph shared the clip on her TikTok with the caption: "Best day ever. Pup had to join for our first dance". It has since racked up a whopping 12.6 million views on the platform, as well as thousands of comments from dog-loving viewers.
"This has to be the most heartwarming thing I’ve ever seen!" wrote one user. while another added that the clip was "the only kind of wedding content I want to see"
A third commented simply: "Wedding goals."
Meanwhile, other viewers took the opportunity to imagine what Bear might be thinking in the moment.
One user wrote: "Pup is like I'm so glad I married you two today", while another commented: "Your dogs like 'wow I can’t believe they threw this party & got dressed up all for me.'"
Steph has been documenting her adventures with Bear on her TikTok ever since her then-fiancé brought him home during lockdown.
It's safe to say that the golden retriever has become a very firm fixture in their family life.
In Steph's videos, he can be seen napping on the couch, out for walks, and enjoying his favorite snack - watermelon. So it was only fitting that he should play a part in the biggest day of Steph and her husband's life.
