I've always thought forests were pretty sinister. I mean, they're dark, often remote areas that tend not to have too many people around. Let's face it - and without meaning to sound morbid - they're the perfect place to commit the most heinous of crimes.
Plus, think of all the creepy fairytale moments that take place in a forest. There's Snow White, Hansel and Gretel, and Little Red Riding Hood, to name just a few.
Of course, these tales are entirely made up, but what if you were to witness what looked like a "mythical" being, lurking around a forest in real life, as opposed in a piece of fiction? Well, one group of friends may have discovered just that.
They caught an unidentifiable figure obsessively watching a moose's every move on the edge of a forest:The white "human-like" creature, who has been likened to Gollum from The Lord of the Rings, is very clearly fixated on the moose - almost as though it were a predator waiting in the wings before stealthily pouncing on its prey.
The chilling clip was filmed last year by Audrée Fréchette, who was on vacation with some friends in the Gaspé Valley when she made the bizarre discovery.
"I was on vacation with friends in Canada, on the edge of the road we saw a moose," Fréchette recalled. "We stopped the car to watch it, it was only the next day watching the video that I saw this strange thing behind."
"I do not pretend to know the nature of the phenomenon but the way of having the thing move, especially in the first seconds, gives me a strange impression," she added.

The clip was later posted to YouTube which sparked a real debate amongst viewers as to what the mysterious creature could be.
"To me, it looks like a ghostly figure," one person wrote.
"Seems like a Gollum," another weighed in.
Others developed their own fully-fledged theories as to what the humanoid creature, lurking on the edge of a forest could be.
"When it's zoomed in closer, you can see this whatever it is, change shape and emitt some kind of light or energy," YouTuber user, Lisa Brown wrote. "Wow, great job capturing this....and thanks to this great channel for sharing it [sic]."
