Some celebrities love life in the spotlight. They call the paparazzi in advance, and let them know what restaurant they're going to. Whenever they're bored, they stand outside, and wait for fans to recognize them. Every five minutes, they check their Twitter replies and IG comments, looking for praise. They might complain about the attention sometimes, but you know that deep down, they can't get enough of it.
Other celebrities are more
reclusive - perhaps none more so than "Spice Girl Of Tennis" Anna Kournikova and "King Of Latin Pop" Enrique Iglesias. The couple is so notoriously private they must have trained under J.D. Salinger, Howard Hughes and a team of ninja monks. They haven't been photographed together for over a year, which is like a hundred years, in celebrity-time. What do these two even look like anymore?!
The two met in 2001, on the set of Enrique's music video for "Escape." The chorus to the song goes, "You can run, you can hide / But you can't escape my love." Is it just me, or does that sound absolutely terrifying? Anyway, apparently Anna found it romantic. An MTV "Making The Video" crew even captured the couple's first moments together on camera, including their first kiss.)
"I've never met [Anna] before, but I’m a big fan," said Enrique, in the video. "She’s beautiful, talented, a great tennis player...You know, it doesn’t take a good actor to kiss Anna and try to make it believable."

For the most part, the power couple's been together since 2001. In 2013, they briefly separated, but just couldn't quit each other. As Enrique sang in that creepy stalker anthem, you can't escape his love, even if you run or hide. Shortly thereafter, Anna was photographed wearing an enormous diamond ring, leading many people to wonder if Ann-rique (or Enri-anna?) secretly tied the knot.
However, in an interview last summer, Enrique revealed they "had no immediate plans to get married." "I’ve never really thought marriage would make a difference?," said Enrique. Maybe it’s because I come from divorced parents, but I don’t think you love someone more because of a piece of paper? Nowadays it’s not taboo to have kids and not be married. What makes a difference is that you’re a good parent."
Also, you save a lot of money by not having a wedding. Just saying.

The couple currently lives in Miami, where they may or not have Invisibility Cloaks like in
Harry Potter. According to a source in the area, last weekend Anna gave birth to a baby boy and girl, named Michael and Lucy. What's more, apparently "nobody" knew the tennis star was pregnant. Come on, paparazzi! What are you doing? You really blew it on this one. All this coverage of the
Kardashian baby bumps, and you couldn't get one baby bump on Anna? Shame on you.
Congratulations to Anna and Enrique, on successfully avoiding the paparazzi for one year. (And also congratulations on the twins, I guess.) While some celebrities love the attention, you like to keep your personal lives private, and that's pretty cool.
