There have been a fair share of relationships on Game of Thrones, and though most of them weren't exactly romantic, there have been a few that fans got behind. Personally, I was always a fan of Jon Snow's relationship with Ygritte, but the new popular match-up is Daenerys and the know-nothing Stark bastard.
They pulled a fast one on us all by getting us invested in the mother of dragons getting it on with the king of the north before we knew for sure that they were aunt and nephew, but - regardless - this relationship can never match up to her previous one.

Despite only being in the show for one season, Jason Momoa truly made his mark on the hit series as Khal Drogo. In fact, despite his other acting work, including an Aqua Man movie set to be released later this year, he's still the king of the Dothraki to most of us. His pairing with Daenerys, while it started off pretty brutal, eventually became sweet and loving.
By time she was calling him "my sun and stars" and he was referring to her as "moon of my life," we were all invested in how things would turn out for them. However, this being Game of Thrones, our hopes and dreams were utterly destroyed in a heartbreaking way. Thanks, George.

The show has been on for six more seasons since then, with the eighth (and final) set of episodes scheduled to air next year. With much of the cast in Ireland for filming, it was a perfect opportunity for a little reunion between Momoa and the cast, including his lost love, Emilia Clarke.
Last Sunday night, both actors took to their Instagram accounts to share photos of their legendary meet-up, where they even tried out the iconic lift from Dirty Dancing. She refers to him as "my sun and stars" as he refers to her as "moon of my life", just like old times. (No, you're crying).

"This is the closest you’ll ever get to me attempting ‘that lift’ from dirty dancing," Clarke wrote. "Yes, my man is sitting. Yes, there’s no lake. And yes, I have no idea I’m NOT being raised above his head (Id like to take a moment to thank alcohol for giving me courage to attempt this. Ever.)"

Momoa also posted photos of him out on the town with other people from the show, leading some fans to speculate whether he somehow turns up again in the final season. "I’m so grateful to be apart of the greatest show on earth," he wrote. "I’m honored to be able to come to Ireland and celebrate with my friends. I’m just here for kisses and hugs and The black stuff."

While he claims to only be there "for kisses and hugs" and his fair share of Guinness, there's always the chance he turns up again. Maybe not a resurrection, as his body has long since been burnt to a crisp, but there's always flashbacks and dream sequences...

Emilia Clarke has revealed that Jason Momoa got her "as drunk as humanly possible" during their recent reunion.
The Game of Thrones star, 34, recently caught up with Momoa, her on-screen partner, for co-creator David Benioff's birthday celebration, and she told PEOPLE that the actor, 42, knows how to party.
"Oh God, it was beautiful," she said. "When Jay's in town, you know it's going down."
"He walks into the room and you're just like, 'My man,'" Clarke continued. "It's almost like a test, every time he sees [me] he's like, 'Can I still throw you around the room? Yeah I can.'"
She then explained that he proceeded to get the group "as drunk as humanly possible."
Clarke said that she tried more whiskeys than she'd ever had before in her life at the event and explained that while some were tasty, there were others that tasted like "paint stripper".
However, she joked to herself that they would put hairs on her chest.
In case your memory needs refreshing, Momoa played Khal Drogo on the first season of Game of Thrones, but while his character only featured for one season, Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen featured in all eight seasons from 2011 to 2019.
The two actors went on to share pictures from the birthday bash on their respective social media last month.
"When your sun and stars rolls into town you check that he can still bench press a Khaleesi," Clarke captioned the post.
Sharing pics with his own followers, Momoa wrote: "MOON OF MY LIFE. you are wonderful love u forever @emilia_clarke #smilelyeyes", before going on to share his birthday wishes with Benioff.
In a recent interview about his role as Drogo with the New York Times, Momoa called out an interviewer over a certain "icky" question.
Momoa took umbrage with the phrasing of a particular question that implied he may have regrets about having played a character who sexually assaults Daenerys Targaryen on their wedding night.
David Marchese, a journalist at the publication, prefaced his question by explaining that the HBO show "inspired a lot of discussion about its depiction of scenes of sexual assault and its treatment of women generally."
He then proceeded to ask Momoa: "Do you think differently today about those scenes? Would you do one now? Do you have any regrets? Those types of scenes can seem as if they belong to an older cultural moment."
The actor responded: "Well, it was important to depict Drogo and his style. You’re playing someone that’s like Genghis Khan.
"It was a really, really, really hard thing to do. But my job was to play something like that, and it’s not a nice thing, and it’s what that character was. It’s not my job to go, 'Would I not do it?' I’ve never really been questioned about 'Do you regret playing a role?' We’ll put it this way: I already did it. Not doing it again."
At the end of the interview, Momoa told the interviewer: "I wanted to bring something up that left a bad feeling in my stomach. When you brought up Game of Thrones, you brought up stuff about what’s happening with my character and would I do it again. I was bummed when you asked me that."
Describing the question as "icky", Momoa explained that actors have no creative control over the depiction of certain scenes, adding: "There are producers, there are writers, there are directors, and you don’t get to come in and be like, 'I’m not going do that because this isn’t kosher right now and not right in the political climate.
"That never happens. So it’s a question that feels icky. I just wanted you to know that."

Last night the Academy Awards were broadcast on something called " live television," which is what people used to watch before the internet. Comedian Kevin Hart was originally hired to host, but got the boot after Twitter sleuths resurfaced his old homophobic tweets. For the first time in 30 years, the Oscars had no host, but it actually seemed to benefit the ceremony, which moved at a brisk pace.
The winners were varied, without any film in particular dominating the show. As always, there were many standout moments: Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga's intimate performance of the Best Original Song, Shallow; Olivia Colman's breathless acceptance speech after winning Best Lead Actress; and Spike Lee's jubilant jump into Samuel L. Jackson's arms after winning Best Adapted Screenplay, the first Oscar of the 61-year-old filmmaker's career.

There were also some incredible moments backstage. Game of Thrones stars Jason Momoa and Emilia Clarke reunited for a couple adorable photos that delighted fans. Momoa captioned the first photo, "So proud of you @emilia_clarke I love u with all my heart Aloha Drogo."
On the show, Momoa played fearsome Dothraki warrior Khal Drogo, who marries exiled heiress Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke. Surprisingly, Drogo turns out to be a sensitive husband, and vows to help Dany reclaim the Iron Throne. But unfortunately, a festering wound and "treatment" from a resentful witch render him in a vegetative state. Dany smothers her lifeless lover out of pity, burns his body and steps into the blaze with three dragon eggs. Then the "Mother of Dragons" emerges from the flames, unscathed, with three baby dragons clinging to her smoldering body.

In the second photo, Momoa posed with his television wife and real-life wife, Lisa Bonet. He captioned the photo, "Me and my QUEENS." Momoa and Bonet got married in 2007 and have two children, a girl and a boy. On Game of Thrones, Daenerys and Drogo had only one child, Draego, who was stillborn. Also, Dany, as the Dothraki's khaleesi, had to eat an entire raw stallion's heart during her pregnancy. Bet you're glad you didn't have to do that, Lisa Bonet!

Although Momoa's character died in season one, he stopped by the Game of Thrones set last year for the eighth and final wrap party. On Instagram, Clarke shared a photo of Drogo holding her in a pose similar to the iconic lift from Dirty Dancing.
"This is the closest you’ll ever get to me attempting ‘that lift’ from dirty dancing," she wrote in the caption. "And yes, I have no idea I’m NOT being raised above his head. (Id like to take a moment to thank alcohol for giving me courage to attempt this. Ever.)" Then she added the adorable hashtags, "#nooneputsdrogointhecorner #imhavingthetimeofmylife #thankgodwegotthatmanonathrone [and] #mysunandstarsintheireyes.
The last season of Game of Thrones premieres in April. But Drogo and Dany's love lives forever.

It's been a while since Game of Thrones ended, and it's safe to say that the finale and the last season divided opinion. Some people seemed to love it, while others thought that cast acted wildly out-of-character and that the plotlines were rushed and the writing hackneyed.
However, it's safe to say that the former cast members of the hit show are just as close-knit as they always were, and have remained friends even after the show ended for good. If you want proof of this, then just check out who Daenerys' actress Emilia Clarke has been hanging out with!

This week, Clarke was reunited with her old castmates Jason Momoa and Kit Harrington in honor of her 33rd birthday, and Game of Thrones fans are loving the fact that she chose the two men who her character fell in love with to share her many happy returns with.
Emilia took to her official Instagram account to share a picture of the three ex Game of Thrones alumni, and captioned her post: "Reunions never looked this hairy.#anyexcuseforamomoasandwich @prideofgypsies #birthdaybonazaparttwo [sic]"

Emilia and Jason were also spotted together recently when they appeared on the talk show of Irish chat show host Graham Norton. In the episode, which aired on British TV on Friday, Emilia opened up about how she once unexpectedly bumped into Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
Emilia stated: "I did not expect to see them in the flesh. I wasn't expecting that at all, I was just amazed to be invited. I was like, 'How did that happen?' When I met Queen Bey I was too many drinks in and started crying. It didn't go well. I think she got out of there very quickly!"

She also opened up about how her friends had initially been reluctant to tune in to watch her play the part of the Targaryen queen, stating: "It started with things like, 'We can't afford to stream Game of Thrones, we don't have the money, sorry Emilia.'"
She continued: "Then it was, 'We'll try and download it,' then it was season eight and I was having a screening of the last episode and they said, 'So we've seven and three-quarter seasons to catch up before this Sunday!'"

"Finally man," the Justice League star said about putting a ring on it. "Ever since I was like, eight years old and I saw her on the TV, I was like, "Mommy, I want that one.""
Bonet starred in the Cosby Show, and little eight-year-old Momoa fell in love with his future wife the moment he saw her on the television when she would have been 19 years old herself. [[youtubewidget||https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOc3tsFWoRs]]"I’m like, 'I’m going to stalk you for the rest of my life and I’m going to get you.' I’m a full-fledged stalker,' he laughed. "I didn’t tell her that until we had two babies, otherwise, I’d be creepy and weird."
"But yeah, [I’d] just always wanted to meet her. She was a queen, always."
He revealed that they finally met many years later in their adult years through mutual friends at a New York jazz club.
"We just happened to be in the right place at the right time," he said. "I actually had dreaded my hair for her. I had dreadlocks, she had dreadlocks."
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BMXMGW2BgkG/]]"I literally turned around and I see her and she goes, 'I’m Lisa.' I turned around to my friend and I–" he imitated a scream, causing the audience to erupt with laughter. "I had f****** fireworks going off inside, man."
Momoa was living in a hotel at the time and didn't have a car, so he convinced Bonet to give him a lift back. They ended up at Cafe 101 that night, sharing a few drinks, a meal, and some assumedly quality banter.
"We sat down, she ordered a Guinness, and that was it," he said. "I beyond love Guinness. We had Guinness and grits and the rest is history."
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BIj2l1uB7g-/]] The love-at-first-sight story is made only cuter by the fact that Momoa had had a crush on Bonet since forever. They now share two kids together and are the definition of couple goals. Can we all have fairytale romances like this one, please?
