Amber Heard has confirmed she's staying in Madrid during her first Spanish-speaking interview.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the 37-year-old actress had left her acting career in Hollywood behind and relocated to Spain with her daughter, Oonagh Paige Heard. A friend of Heard told the Daily Mail that the actress - who is bilingual in Spanish - is content to raise her two-year-old away from the Los Angeles noise.

In fact, a recent TikTok video has shown Spanish reporters asking the actress questions outside her home, with Heard responding to them in perfect Spanish. The Rum Diary actress was asked how she is finding her new life in Madrid, to which she responds: "I love Spain so much."

She is then asked if she will stay, and she replies that she hopes to as she "loves living here." Heard is also asked if she has any upcoming film projects, which she confirms, before saying goodbye and heading into the property.

While representatives for Heard have not confirmed that she is living in Spain long-term, the actress did sell her home in Yucca Valley, California in July 2022 for $1.1 million - almost twice the amount she originally paid for it.

Since then, the Zombieland actress has spent a lot of time in the European country, as last year she was pictured on the beaches of Palma de Mallorca. She was also snapped playing with her daughter - whom she welcomed via her surrogate in July 2021 - at a children's park during her Spanish vacation.

According to a previous report from the outlet, locals in the small village where the mom of one was spotted described her as being "very polite" and that she "doesn't bother anyone".

The actress' recent Spanish interview comes a year after her highly-publicized defamation lawsuit with ex-husband Johnny Depp. In June 2022, a Virginia jury largely sided with the 59-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star and found that his ex-wife had defamed him on three counts in her 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post - where she described herself as a victim of domestic abuse.

Despite not naming her ex-husband in her article, the turbulent case concluded with the Fantastic Beasts star being awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages, while Heard was granted $2 million in compensatory damages, but no punitive damages.

The actress filed an appeal last December, but the former couple recently came to an agreement that Heard would pay $1 million in order to settle the case. In her Instagram statement, she explained to her 5.2 million followers: "After a great deal of deliberation I have made a very difficult decision to settle the defamation case brought against me by my ex-husband in Virginia."

Heard finished the statement by saying: "I make this decision having lost faith in the American legal system, where my unprotected testimony served as entertainment and social media fodder [...] time is precious and I was to spend my time productively and purposefully."
