Azealia Banks has been criticized on social media for implying that Ms Jacky Oh!'s death was karma for D.C. Young Fly as he made jokes about the rapper on Wild 'N Out.

As previously reported, a BET Media Group spokesperson revealed in a statement the 32-year-old reality TV star - whose real name is Jacklyn Smith - sadly passed away on June 1.

"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jacky Oh, a talented Wild 'N Out family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed. Jacky Oh was a loving friend and beloved colleague of the Wild 'N Out cast throughout five seasons," they wrote.

The media group noted the model will be remembered as a "loving friend and beloved colleague of the TV cast through five seasons" and a "tremendous mother" to children Nova, six, Nala, two, and Prince'Nehemiah, 10 months, she shares with her long-term partner, DC.

Many of the mom-of-three's loved ones have taken to social media to share tributes and honor her memory. Her colleague, B. Simone, reflected on how she "lived life to the fullest" in a heartfelt Instagram post.

"You were an amazing friend, entrepreneur, and above all a phenomenal mother," her co-star penned."I never understood how you balanced all of it but when I become a mom I want to be just like you. You have a village down here that will ALWAYS make sure your children know the exceptional woman their mother was."

However, not every tribute has been sincere as rapper Azealia Banks - who recently hit out at the 1975's frontman Matty Healy - as she shared a bombshell Instagram story, accusing the 31-year-old and other comedians of making colorist jokes about her on Wild 'N Out.

She wrote: "Damn, Dc Young Fly spent years disguising his own deeply rooted hatred of self as jokes pointed at women’s beauty, projecting his own feelings about his own ugliness unto women perfectly secure in their own skin.

"Say what you want about my tears. They were pure tears of rage and not at all a sign of weakness. Because in the end, I won. I’m happy I cried and moved on," she said, referring to the five-year-old episode.

"That Jackie o girl must have been so deeply insecure about herself. And the nerve of DC to call such a gorgeous woman as Azealia Banks…ugly on National television while a bunch of Black people laughed," she continued.

In a follow-up post, the Anna Wintour rapper said Jacky's death was ironic, explaining: "And ironically, Dead at 32 exactly on my 32nd birthday, May 31st, 2023 in Miami, FL. You n****s are going to learn to stop f***ing with me."

Banks' post was re-shared on Twitter, and many stunned users weighed in on her insensitive remarks. One person wrote: "Azealia Banks is sick. speaking on someone's deceased partner because you got your feelings hurt on a staged show 4 years ago is very low."

Another said: "I’m so disgusted at what Azealia Banks said about Jacky’s passing, YOU TOOK IT PERSONAL THAT DC clowned you on Wild N Out when you knew what that show was about !! This lady has no soul and is very sad!"

And, a third commented: "Azealia Banks literally started with DC Young Fly then got mad when he roasted her back...TO A CRISP. And THIS is why she's celebrating the death of his child's mother? Shorty is unwell a**."

Further details have also been revealed regarding Ms Jacky Oh!'s tragic death. In a police report obtained by PEOPLE, it has been disclosed that police were dispatched on Wednesday, May 31 to a local hotel "in reference to an unresponsive female".

"She was transported by Miami Fire Department to Mercy Hospital where lifesaving efforts were conducted," the PIO stated, per E! News. "but unfortunately, she was pronounced deceased at the hospital."

According to the publication, a report from the Miami Police Department lists the address of the Homewood Suites by Hilton Miami Downtown/Brickell as the location of the incident and Jacklyn Smith as the subject. A cause of death has yet to be revealed.

Furthermore, DC Young Fly - whose real name is John Whitfield - shared a statement with the outlet expressing his gratitude to everyone who kept his family in their thoughts. "We thank everyone for their well wishes and ask for privacy during this difficult time," he said.

Our thoughts continue to be with Jacklyn's friends, family, and fans at this tragic time.
