Candace Cameron Bure has responded to JoJo Siwa's criticism.
The teenage star made headlines over the weekend when she accused Bure of being the "rudest celebrity" she'd ever met in a TikTok video.
Now, Full House actor Bure has taken to Instagram to clear the air.
In a video posted yesterday (July 26), the 46-year-old said she was "shocked" by Siwa's allegations and had "no idea" where they'd come from.
According to her, she'd given Siwa a call in the wake of her damning TikTok going viral to ask: "What did I do to you?"
Bure recalled how the dancer said she hadn't expected the video to blow up, and admitted that the reason she'd listed Bure as rude was "silly".
The Fuller House star recalled: "She said, 'You know, I met you at the Fuller House premiere and I was 11 years old.
"And we were all on the red carpet and I had come up to you and I said, 'Can I have a picture with you?' and you said to me, 'Not right now,' and then you proceeded to do what you were doing and take pictures with other people on the red carpet.'"
Bure said that she responded sympathetically to the former Dance Moms star, telling her: "I kind of broke your 11-year-old heart. I didn't take a picture with you. Ugh! I feel crummy, I feel—JoJo, I'm so sorry."
Bure recounts her recent phone call with Siwa:According to her, Siwa replied: "I get it now as an adult when you're on the red carpet and everything's happening and you're being pulled in different directions, but, at the time, I was 11."
Bure wrapped up her video by reassuring fans that things are now "all good on the JoJo front", and adding an explanation to anyone else who had ever met her and thought she was rude.
"If you've ever personally run into me and I was not the person you were hoping or expecting, I just want to say I'm sorry," she shared.
"Sorry in the sense that I get asked for photos and autographs often and, 99% of the time, it is my joy to do that. It is my joy to talk to people and say hi and all that. But I'm still a human being, all public people are and sometimes you have bad days," she added.
