Ryan Reynolds is a master of trolling. His targets include pretty much anyone and he proves his skill for it every day. The difference with his form of internet trolling is that no matter how crude it can get, it's always fairly light-hearted and never mean-spirited in any way.

Sometimes it's a throwaway comment and sometimes it's an image that speaks for itself, but he's always down to poke fun at those around him, like he often does with his wife Blake Lively.

It's part of why Deadpool was a dream gig for the actor, as his dark but self-mocking humor fits right in with the anti-superhero's wisecracking ways. Much like Robert Downey Jr and Tony Stark, it's often hard to separate the actor from the role.

With Deadpool 2 in production, he's spending a lot of time in the red and black costume. And it's not like he's going to waste that time either. With the promotional material for the film, the trailer, and various other Instagram posts he's making the most of his time in the suit. He even took the time out to send a birthday message to ex-One Directioner Zayn Malik, which you can see below:

Apart from these fun asides, Reynolds is doing some genuine charitable work too. He recently posted a series of photos of him in costume along with children from the Make A Wish foundation, who had come to the set of the upcoming superhero sequel to meet their hero. In the Instagram post he wrote:

"One of the best parts of playing the Big Red Jackass is welcoming @makeawishamerica and @childrenswishfoundation onto set. Deadpool kicked Cancer in the taint, but these kids do it for real every day.

"These foundations make dreams come true for a lot of of super-brave kids. They also make dreams come true for parents, who just wanna see their kid smile. HUGE thanks to our Prop Master, Dan Sissons, for making sure every kid left with his/her own sword. (Bamboo versions. Not stabby-stabby versions.)"

The post received plenty of positive responses, with nearly 7,000 comments and over 1.2 million likes, but not everyone was that happy about the idea. One user commented: "Guys deadpool is R rated movie and those kids are watching it ......... I think something is wrong here".

As you can imagine, not everyone was on board with this. While there are hundreds of Deadpool fans willing to take this up with them, no one expected Reynolds himself to reply in the comment section.

He wrote:

"Yup. deadpool is Rated R. If my kid went through a fraction of the shit these kids deal with daily, I think they can watch whatever they like. That's just my .02 cents."

Regardless of the age rating of the movie, the experience of visiting a movie set and getting a photo with one of your heroes is one these children definitely won't forget.
