Although we'll fall in love with many different people in different ways throughout our lives, I don't think it's possible to entirely forget any of them.
Over the last couple of years, not many people will have more to think about with her former flames than the singer Ariana Grande.
Having just broken off an engagement with Pete Davidson toward the tail end of last year, Grande also had to deal with the death of Mac Miller in September 2018, four months after the pair split up.

The song - not to mention the album - Thank U, Next seemed to be borne of Grande's desire to look back into her past. This would explain her latest heartfelt message on Instagram, but which ex in this post is Ariana referring to? Fans have some ideas.
On her Instagram story, Grande, 25, posted a lengthy quote from the writer Horacio Jones, entitled Letting Someone Go. "Sometimes, the reason for letting someone go is because they can’t help but hurt you during this phase of their life," starts the quote, before betraying some of the pain that Grande must be feeling at the moment.
"When you love someone deeply, you learn what demons live within them and you realize they are hurting you because they are hurting somewhere within themselves. They are fighting a battle within and may not even know it, so they take it out on you and fight you."

"Decide to let them go, but not because you’re being petty and resentful," the quote continues.
"You let them go because you really believe that the both of you can find the healing you truly need without being together and hurting each other in the process. Letting someone go doesn’t mean you stop loving and caring about anyone. Letting go means you’re choosing freedom over the illusion of loyalty."
It's clear that Ariana Grande is in a reflective mood, but what's less clear is the subject of that quote. It's most likely to be her ex-fiancé Pete Davidson, who she broke up with five months ago. Davidson, of course, has moved on since to British actress Kate Beckinsale, but Ariana has decided to stay single for the time being.

It's not only Davidson that's on Grande's mind, either. Grande has also been pictured spending time with her two previous exes before Mac Miller, Big Sean and Ricky Alvarez. "After Thank U, Next came out, Ariana was really living her single life and being with her friends, learning about herself," explained a source, before saying that Ariana is coming up to a big point in her life.
"She didn’t want any bad blood holding her back from the next phase of her life. She has reached out to her exes to have a positive place in her life right now and for peace of mind, so she can focus on herself and this tour, which is the only thing on her mind right now."

The tour in question here is of course, Grande's Sweetener tour. On the first leg of this tour, she kicked off by paying tribute to Mac Miller, but if her behaviour recently is any indication, she's got more than one ex on her mind recently.
