The Beckham family has once again found themselves at the center of public scrutiny after posting a family photo.
The picture, which was shared following Brooklyn Beckham’s public fallout with his parents, shows David, Victoria, and their three younger children - Romeo, Cruz, and Harper - posing together at Paris Fashion Week.
However, what caught the attention of many wasn’t just the family’s appearance at such a high-profile event, but the inclusion of Kim Turnbull and Jackie Apostel, the girlfriends of Romeo and Cruz.
The picture raised eyebrows as last week, Brooklyn, 26, expressed his anger and frustration over what he perceived as his family's continuous disrespect toward his wife, Nicola Peltz.
As a result, many fans questioned why Romeo and Cruz’s partners were included in what appeared to be an “intimate family moment,” particularly when the 31-year-old was allegedly discouraged from attending similar events.
One fan commented, “Is it mandatory for girlfriends who aren't wives or children to appear in important family photos? Can't they stay out of an intimate family moment? I'm just saying."
Another asked whether the Beckhams are trying to project an image of unity. “I mean the posting from both you and Victoria just proves how the brand is more important than family," they said.
Brooklyn's Fallout with His Family
Brooklyn’s recent comments shed light on his strained relationship with his parents.
In his statement, the aspiring chef accuses his parents, especially his mother, Victoria, of trying to sabotage his marriage.
"The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety," he wrote.
Brooklyn shared several allegations against the Spice Girl, claiming that she canceled Nicola's wedding dress at the last minute and hijacked their first dance at their wedding.
He also recalled a particularly painful moment when, during the wedding reception, his mother took his place for a dance with him, leaving Nicola in tears.
"In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife, but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead," he said.
While David has not directly responded to his son's claims, he has emphasized the importance of allowing children to make mistakes in an interview with CNBC.
"They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids, you sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well," he said.
Meanwhile, Victoria has remained largely silent. She recently posted celebratory messages for her fellow Spice Girl, Emma Bunton, on social media, but has not directly addressed the family controversy.
