The 22-year-old actress and model took to Instagram to share a number of pictures of herself on a boat, wearing a black string bikini. The picture in question appeared to be a throwback to a vacation earlier this year, when Bella went on an Italian holiday and sailed past the coast of Sicily in July.

This post comes just a few weeks after Thorne provoked controversy when she was criticized by some social media users due to the perceived offensiveness of her Halloween costume, which many social media users claimed to glamourize domestic abuse.

Bella captioned her post: "I woke up with my period and this is how excited I am ? [sic]"

Over October 31, the actress posted several pictures of her Halloween get-up; which featured fake blood spatters and smoky eyeshadow, which gave the illusion of bloodstained lips and bruised eyes. Bella captioned her post: "Hire me for your Halloween makeup I got u boo ??? ???"

In a recent interview with CR Fashion, Thorne opened up about how the double standard with how women and men are allowed to expose their bodies on social media, stating: "I do know that if Justin Bieber posts a photo of himself shirtless, nobody’s giving him a hard time, but if I post a picture of myself in a bikini, they’re like: 'You’re a whore.'"

Bella added: "It’s about owning your own sh*t, and not listening to what other people tell you you should be like, or dress like, or talk like. There’s something amazing and wonderful about watching a woman who’s like: 'F*ck all that.'"
