Blake Lively has been praised for normalizing breast pumping in public as she shared candid pictures of herself at Disneyland.

Lively bid farewell to 2023 with an Instagram post showcasing some of her highlights, notably a postpartum visit to Disneyland Paris.

In a series of photos, the 36-year-old actress was seen casually posing alongside the beloved rodent chef Remy from Disney's 2007 film Ratatouille. Lively, dressed in a long-sleeve yellow T-shirt, Mickey Mouse ears, and sneakers, had her breast pump conveniently slung on her hip.

Captioning the post, Lively wrote: "Pumping at @disneylandparis," accompanied by an emoji of a glass of milk. She humorously added: "Cheers Remy."

People were quick to offer their praise in the comments, thrilled to see a celebrity of Lively's standing showcasing her breast pump in public.

One person said: "Thank you for pumping in public and helping to make a positive change for the next generation of pumping moms out there!

"I’m hoping that by the time my daughters become moms they’ll live in a society where moms feel comfortable and empowered to take care of their babies wherever they are. The more people see women breastfeeding in public, the more normal it becomes, so thank you for being a part of that."

It would seem this isn't the first time that Lively has done this, as another person said: "I’m in PR and you pumped during multiple interviews with media and that’s when I knew you were a true Queen."

Lively, who tied the knot with Ryan Reynolds in 2012, announced the birth of their fourth child last February. The couple also shares daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4.

Reflecting on motherhood in May 2022, Lively spoke about the positive impact it has had on her self-image, telling Forbes: "I think having children for me made me feel so much more in my skin. I never felt more myself or at ease in my own body or more confident — not to say that there aren't a bevy of insecurities coming at me a million times a day, but I just feel incredibly settled."

Reynolds previously spoke about his growing family in a red-carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight.

"I'm very excited," he told the outlet. "We'd have to be. You know, you'd have to be a moron to do this four times if you didn't like it. It's gonna be nuts, but we're very excited."

Lively also spoke openly about parenting with Reynolds in a 2016 interview with Marie Claire. "Ryan had a nice, normal upbringing, and we want our kids to have the same normal life that we had," she said. "We don't ever want to rob them of what we had, because we'd feel really selfish."
