Last night, as Election Day drew to a close, Cardi B took to her Instagram page to share a video of her smoking three cigarettes at once as she, along with the rest of the country, watched the election results come in.
She captioned the short video: "How these elections got me watching these states turn red."

Needless to say, many of Cardi B's fans could relate entirely as they, too, watched the election results unfold.
One person with the handle @doctor_wp told the rapper to "stay strong mama."
Grammy-nominated singer and actress Antonique Smith chimed in, telling the 'Thru Your Phone' hitmaker, "I feel you sis!!!!! [sic]"
A third commenter remarked: "That should tell you something!! If the people of this country vote that way respect it and DON’T talk bad about people who are responsible for keeping you doing what you do!!!"
Another took to the comments to share: "I’m having mad anxiety sis [sic]!!!!"
The US, along with the rest of the world, is still waiting to find out who will win the 2020 US Presidential Election.
Both the incumbent president Donald Trump and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden have won key states in what is evidently a closer race than polls had previously predicted.
Those who are hoping for Biden to become the 46th president of the United States became concerned after it emerged that Trump had been victorious in some major states.

However, some of these Biden supporters have been reassured by the fact that mail-in votes are expected to favor Biden and these are generally being announced later than ballots cast at the polling stations.
Speaking to Fox News yesterday (November 3), Trump was confident about his chances and predicted he would win "big" in states such as Florida and Arizona.
"I think we have a really solid chance of winning," he told the conservative news channel.

After surviving her beef with Nicki Minaj, rapper Cardi B has a new enemy: conservative pundits!
It all started last week, when the Bronx MC shared her opinion on the partial government shutdown. To put it in rap terms: President Trump thinks it would be "lit" to build a "dope" wall at the "ratchet" US-Mexico border. Therefore, he refuses to "John Hancock" any "BMF" bill unless there's a "plug" for that "bag." However, Democrats think Trump is not "keeping it 100" and that a border wall is "wick wick wack." As a result, nothing is "crackalackin"
For 32 days and counting, 800,000 federal employees are forced to work without "scrilla" or go on unpaid leave. In a Instagram video, Cardi B shared some candid thoughts: "This sh*t is crazy. Like, our country is in a hell hole right now, all for a f***in' wall," she observed. "Now, I don't wanna hear y'all motherf***ers talkin' about, 'Oh, but Obama shut down the government for 17 days.' Yeah, bitch! For health care! So your grandma could check her blood pressure and you bitches could go check your p****y at the gynecologist with no motherf***in' problem."
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/STEPHMHAMILL/status/1087407624826601472]]
Cardi B's rant went viral, earning praise from frustrated Americans on Twitter, and even got turned into a catchy song. However, it's also made her into a target for conservatives, who think celebrities should shut up about politics. (Unless they're Hollywood movie actor Ronald Reagan or reality TV host Donald Trump.)
On Twitter, conservative columnist Stephanie Hamill shared Cardi B's salacious music video for Twerk, a collaboration with City Girls. The clip features more shaking butts than an earthquake at a cigarette factory, and Cardi B and Avi Ram painted their bodies to look like wild animals for some reason. (Just go with it.) Hamill added this snarky comment, "In the Era of #meToo how exactly does this empower women? Leftists, @iamcardib , feel free to chime in. THX."
It is not clear what #MeToo movement, a movement against sexual harassment and sexual assault, has to do with a libidinous Cardi B music video.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/iamcardib/status/1087734463608479744]]
In response, Cardi B clapped back with a savage response. Or, to put in rap terms, she dropped that "ether," "the sh*t that makes your soul burn slow." "It says to women that I can wear and not wear what ever I want do w.e I want and that NO still means NO," wrote the Bodak Yellow rapper. "So Stephanie chime in..If I twerk and be half naked does that mean I deserve to get raped and molested ? I want to know what a conservative woman like you thinks ?"
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/STEPHMHAMILL/status/1087746344024981506]]
Hamill responded by arguing that Cardi B's music video sexually objectifies women, because apparently this is the 1950's. It is still unclear what the "Twerk" music video has to do with the #MeToo movement, so I'll have to watch it a few more times...for uh...research.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/iamcardib/status/1086906901328084993]]
Oh, and in case you missed it, Cardi B also clapped back at conservative commentator Tomi Lahren. "Looks like @iamcardib is the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats," she snarked on Twitter. "HA! Keep it up, guys!" To which Cardi B delivered this 'drop the mic' response: "Leave me alone I will dog walk you."
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/iamcardib/status/1086990411770384384]]
Then she delivered the knockout punch to Republican Shill Barbie: "You’re so blinded with racism that you don’t even realize the decisions the president you root for is destroying the country you claim to love so much," tweeted Cardi. "You are a perfect example on no matter how educated or smart you think you are you still a SHEEP!"
So, Cardi B has gone from a stripper to a reality TV personality to a Grammy-nominated rapper to a political pundit. Welcome to 2019.

Rapper Cardi B has responded to comments made by a Trump-supporting model, who mocked her intention to run for congress by editing one of her tweets.
The trouble began when the rapper took to Twitter to state her intention to run for congress in the future. Cardi wrote: "I do feel like if I go back to school and focus up I can be part of Congress.I dead*ss have sooo much ideas that make sense.I just need a couple of years of school and I can shake the table."
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/iheartmindy/status/1216792296277962753]]
Mindy Robinson, a personality and bikini model, fired off a screenshot of Cardi's tweet, editing her grammar to make her speech look more conventional.
Robinson captioned her sarcastic photoshop job by writing: "You’re going to need more school than that. ?? Your spaces are off too...but hey, how can we hold you accountable for kindergarten level sh*t, am I right?"
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/iamcardib/status/1216983326768058370]]
Enraged with Robinson's trolling, an Cardi fired back with: "You really mad cause you stay takin pics like this and mention Trump 20 times a day to get his attention.HEY! Don’t take your anger out on me cause he don’t wanna f*ck you sis ?♀️"
However, Robinson didn't appear to be offended by her remarks, later replying: "Oh...that’s why I have a bunch of hate mail in my inbox from people who can’t spell. Cardi B and her fans are mad I said my cat was more qualified to run for Congress than she is, which I stand by. By the way, slamming me because I support Trump isn’t a slam, try again."
In a recent video, Cardi B implored her followers to learn about their democratic candidates:
[[jwplayerwidget||https://content.jwplatform.com/videos/XH8u16Mx-sKUnNGKf.mp4||XH8u16Mx]]
She added: "If you guys are going to send me hate mail...can you at least 'try' to proofread it first? The irony of people calling me 'dumb' that can’t spell it, is reaching ridiculously critical levels in my inbox. [sic]"
Indeed, Cardi, who has always been openly-critical of the Trump administration, previously stated that she was thinking of moving to Nigeria an applying for citizenship.

People love Cardi B because she speaks her mind with no filter. Ever since Bodak Yellow launched her career as a rap superstar, she's shared her opinion on everything from strip club etiquette to post-pregnancy breasts to the government shutdown over Trump's border wall. (Senator Cardi B, we stan!)
However, the 26-year-old's latest comments aren't charming the world like usual. Over the weekend, a clip from a live chat surfaced where Cardi rants about her critics, and makes a shocking confession: During her hardscrabble days as a stripper, she used to drug men and rob them.
"I had to go strip, I had to go, ‘Oh yeah, you want to f*ck me? Yeah yeah yeah, let’s go back to this hotel,’ and I drugged n****s up and I robbed them," said Cardi B. "That’s what I used to do.”

[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/_NotOliver/status/1110264591303524358]]
The video spread across social media, and many people condemned the Bronx MC. "Cardi B is a EVIL WOMAN AND IS A DISGRACE TO HUMANITY,HOW DARE YOU RAPE ANYONE THEN CRY FOR SYMPATHY," wrote one Twitter user. A second person agreed, adding "people are defending her either because she's a woman, they're using childhood trauma as an excuse, they're a stan or they think it's an attempt to 'defame' her. "
@nicolenovello noted, "If a man did this or even ONE of these everyone would be going crazy. The double standards are insane. Do men justice and lock her up!" And a fourth Twitter user asserted, "It's about how the #MeToo movement are quick to [rightfully] condemn men allegedly or confirmed of predatory behaviour but get silent when a woman is accused or confirmed to be the predator. That same energy you have toward Bill Cosby, 6ix9ine and R. Kelly, keep it with Cardi B."

[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/minajmania1/status/1109960489596014593]]
It must be noted, however, that many of these outraged critics have Nicki Minaj photos in their backgrounds and/or profile pictures. As you probably recall, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have been feuding with each other since last year, when Cardi's debut album, Invasion of Privacy, trumped Minaj's fourth studio album, Queen, in both critical acclaim and commercial sales. The beef didn't result in any direct diss tracks, but it did result in Cardi chucking a shoe at Minaj during a Fashion Week party. (She missed.)

[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/regin93Xo/status/1109975838848618497]]
Then, at last February's Grammys, Cardi B became the first female rapper to win Best Rap Album Of The Year. The project also scored a nomination for Best Album Of The Year, overall, which is a rarity for rap. Meanwhile, Queen received zero nominations, and Nicki Minaj has never won a Grammy, despite being extremely talented. So, you can see why her fanatical 'Barbz' would pounce at the chance to slam Cardi B on social media.

Cardi's fans weren't eager to defend her alleged actions, but they did balk at drawing a comparison with monsters like R. Kelly. "I never said her actions weren’t criminally punishable," explained one Twitter user. "R Kelly is gross and in no way shape or form should a serial abuser and pedophile (him) be compared to Cardi B or someone like her." Another simply commented, "F*** outta here. Fuck outta here #SurvivingCardiB; let @iamcardib live"
