Chris Evans is pretty much one of the biggest names on the planet right now. Starring as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe propelled him even further into fame and fortune, but with his role in the monumentally successful Avengers: Endgame this year, he's become pretty hard to miss.
Now that the movie, which brings the storylines of many fan-favourite characters to a close, has hit cinemas, the actor has been sharing a plethora of behind-the-scenes videos that he took on set during filming.
Check out Evans' behind-the-scenes glimpse of Avengers: EndgameThe actor is now going viral for a different reason, one that's far more down to earth. This week marked the occasion of Evans' 20-year high school reunion, and while many of his old school friends didn't expect him to turn up - he RSVP'd at the last minute to drop in at Conrad's Restaurant in Sudbury, Massachusetts with the rest of the graduates from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.
When he turned up, he grabbed a 'Chris' name tag, as if anyone needed reminding who he was. Although - on the other hand - how much of a douchey move would it be to turn up without one, thinking: "you all know who I am"? Either way, the internet couldn't handle these photos of Captain America himself turning up as humble 'Chris'.
One of the managers at the restaurant, Donna Scott, spoke to boston.com about the event and explained how excited both the ex-students and the staff working at the time were to grab a photo with the star:
"Many people wanted to take pictures with him. Everyone was pretty excited that he was there.
"I know one of my waiters heard that [Chris] was in there. And [the waiter] has two young boys, so he purposely made a point to come into the room to ask if he could take a photo with him."
His old classmates were pretty excited to run into him again after all these years:
While his fans on Twitter just couldn't handle the situation:
Imagine turning up to your high school reunion and one of the people who turns up has become not only a movie star, but one of the biggest movie stars in the world - and Captain America, no less?
This also comes on the back of Avengers: Endgame making some outstanding numbers at the box office, currently standing at over $2.3 billion in worldwide totals, quickly approaching Avatar's $2.78 billion from 2009. Soon enough it'll be the highest-grossing movie of all-time, and make that next reunion even more intimidating.
