The fraternity scene at the University of Southern California got a taste of Hollywood's finest recently when none other than comedic legend Will Ferrell was spotted DJing at a pre-game party at Sigma Alpha Mu house.

Renowned for roles in movies such as Anchorman and Blades of Glory, Ferrell was the center of attraction in his USC Trojans jacket, a backward cap, and trendy shades. While spinning some fire tracks, the actor exuded a coolness that had everyone around him in disbelief. (Seriously, the scene could have been something out of one of his movies.)

The sight of a globally celebrated star casually DJing was nothing short of electric, a sentiment echoed by the explosive reactions on social media. This surprising cameo also had fans wondering if this was a nostalgic return of "Frank the Tank" from Old School, and was shared to social media by TikTok user @lupetwins8803.

The Trojans later went on to clinch a nail-biting victory, defeating the Wildcats 43-41.

Social media exploded with reactions. One fan noted: "These guys are not hyped enough and definitely don’t deserve to be in the presence of Will Ferrell."

Another quipped, "DJ Will on the ones and twos bay bay!" Meanwhile, the viral TikTok clip showcasing Ferrell playing 'N****s in Paris' by Kanye West and Jay-Z, brought up an interesting connection. The track features a sample from Ferrell's movie Blades of Glory, which added another layer to the whole experience.

Amidst the excitement, a few fans playfully questioned whether it was actually Chad Smith, the drummer for Red Hot Chili Peppers, behind the decks since he and Ferrell are uncannily lookalike.

While the actor hasn’t officially commented, the speculation is that Ferrell's connection to the University might have something to do with his eldest son, Magnus, currently being a USC student.

Imagine if the most memorable part of your college days was your dad DJing. While for many, that might be an embarrassing horror story, having Will Ferrell as your dad is probably the exception.

It's worth noting that Ferrell's connection with USC isn't just familial. Back in 2017, he delivered an inspirational commencement speech to the University's graduating class.

Bestowed with an honorary doctorate in humane letters, Ferrell shared personal anecdotes from his early career, such as: "You're never not afraid. I'm still afraid. But my fear of failure never approached the magnitude of a fear of 'What if? What if I never tried at all?'"

This recent appearance really is proof that you never know what Will Ferrell is going to do next.
