In related news, the actress recently revealed that she had her fillers dissolved, admitting that she "didn't look like [herself]".
"I would say it’s a common thing you go through as you age, especially in Hollywood," the 54-year-old disclosed when speaking to PEOPLE. "You have to accept getting older, and that’s something that I had a hard time doing."
The actress - who is now the new face of L'Oréal Paris' Super Preference #OWNINGIT campaign - added that she started getting the injectable fillers because she "wasn't pleased with myself and the way I looked."
“[I tried] to keep up with time in a way that was anything other than maintenance. I didn’t realise it until one day I kind of stepped back and went, ‘Oh shit. I don’t look like myself.'”

But now, after getting her fillers dissolved, Cox has found that she's more confident than ever;
"So now I just embrace who I am and getting older with what God gave me, not what I was trying to change. I kind of own everything. And the things that I am not as comfortable with myself, they’re things that I continue to work on to grow and change. I am at a stage of my life where it’s very easy to be comfortable with who I am and who I’ve become and who I strive to be."
Good on you, Courteney!

Courteney Cox has taken to Instagram to share a never-before-seen photo of her and her Friends co-stars.
The 54-year-old actress clarifies in the caption that the snap had been taken before the show even aired, writing, "The one where the six of us went to Vegas and no one knew we were F.R.I.E.N.D.S yet."
For fans, it provides a window into what their friendship was like before they really 'made it' in Hollywood.
Remember when Lisa Kudrow And Courteney Cox had a surprise Friends reunion on the Ellen show?

Think about it - when the photo was taken, no one could have guessed what a phenomenal worldwide hit Friends would go on to become.
The sentimental snap shows the actress with the other five leads of the NBC sitcom (including Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow) having a blast together in a private jet.

The photo was taken during a group trip to Sin City organised by director James Burrows. While the cast and crew had already started filming for the show - that would go on to have a wildly successful 10-year run - none of the episodes had yet been seen by the public.

In a televised 2016 special made in honour of the TV director, Burrows talked about his thinking behind taking the cast on a trip to Vegas.
"We ate at Caesar’s Palace in Spago. I had me and six of them and I said -- I don’t know why I said this -- I said, 'This is your last shot at anonymity. Once the show comes on the air, you guys will never be able to go anywhere without being hounded,'" Burrows recalled, adding that he was certain the series would be a smash hit. "I knew the show had a chance to really take off."

Accepting that our appearance is going to change as we get older is a tough thing to do.
One person who has decided to own her age though is Courteney Cox, who had all of her fillers dissolved two years ago when she looked in the mirror and "didn't look like herself".
Speaking in a new interview, the 54-year-old admitted that she had a hard time embracing her looks as she aged and resorted to injections used to fill out wrinkles and creases in the skin.
However, now the Friends star has stopped turning to fillers and is working on accepting herself as she is.
"I would say it’s a common thing you go through as you age, especially in Hollywood," she told People. "You have to accept getting older, and that’s something that I had a hard time doing. [I tried] to keep up with time in a way that was anything other than maintenance. I didn’t realize it until one day I kind of stepped back and went, 'Oh sh*t. I don’t look like myself.'"
She continued: "So now I just embrace who I am and getting older with what God gave me, not what I was trying to change. The things that I am not as comfortable with myself, they’re things that I continue to work on to grow and change."
It's not the first time the Friends star has spoken out on the subject. In 2017, the Cougar Town actress claimed that she looked "fake" with fillers.
"I think that I now look more like the person that I was (before adjustments). I hope I do," she said in an interview with New Beauty. "Things are going to change. Everything's going to drop. I was trying to make it not drop, but that made me look fake."
The 54-year-old added that once you dip your toe into the water of facial injections, it's hard to stop - but she's glad she eventually came to the realisation that fillers "were not her friend".
"The next thing you know, you're layered and layered," she explained. "You have no idea because it's gradual until you go, 'Oh, s---, this doesn't look right'. You need movement in your face, especially if you have thin skin like I do. Those aren’t wrinkles—they’re smile lines. I’ve had to learn to embrace movement and realize that fillers are not my friend."
It's great to hear that Courteney eventually learned to accept herself - and looks fab for it!
Although the star's relationship with fillers didn't last, her friendship with Jennifer Aniston sure did - this was shown when she shared an adorable birthday tribute to her former co-star on social media this week.

The series finale of Friends aired 15 years ago, but thanks to social media, the stars will always be there for you. Remember when David Schwimmer posted a hilarious video response to his beer-stealing lookalike? How about when Courteney Cox recreated the iconic 'pivot' scene on Instagram? It's not a Friends reunion, but we'll take it.
On Sunday, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow reunited for a girls night out, and although no one wore a turkey on their head, it looks like they had a great time. Courteney shared a photo of the trio, writing "Trying to figure out what to say on Instagram....#gotnothing #friends #girlsnight."
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BzFIYIvjWbI/]]
Lisa Kudrow also shared a photo on Instagram, writing, "Halfway there... #girlsnight #." If only David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Joey LeBlanc showed up! Plus James Michael Tyler (Gunther), Aisha Tyler (Charlie Wheeler) and Jon Haugen (Ugly Naked Guy). (Hey, we can dream.)
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BzFIY7Ln6Zu/]]
And just in case you doubt their real-life friendship, the Friends gals met up on June 15 for Courteney Cox' 55th birthday. "How lucky am I to celebrate my birthday with these two???" Courteney gushed in the caption. "I love you girls. So much." Could they be any more adorable?
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BywZW8WDHTz/]]
These photos are sure to kickstart rumors about a Friends revival, but such an event seems unlikely. While speaking to Rolling Stone, the show's co-creator Marta Kauffman said there are "several reasons" not to do a reunion. "One, the show is about a time in your life when your friends are your family. It’s not that time anymore," she said. "All we’d be doing is putting those six actors back together, but the heart of the show would be gone."
Watch Jennifer Aniston reveal how she feels about a potential Friends reunion:
[[jwplayerwidget||https://content.jwplatform.com/videos/D3qNO7gq-sKUnNGKf.mp4||D3qNO7gq]]
But although Kauffman is skeptical about a reunion's quality, the cast is down. On a recent episode of Ellen, Jennifer Aniston said, "Okay, why not? 'You know what, because listen, I told you this. I would do it. The girls would do it. And the boys would do it, I'm sure. Listen. Anything could happen." Until then, there's always social media.
